Abercrombie kicked off their denim sale today! Their reasonably priced jeans are even more reasonable now — 25% off all denim now through February 12th.
I went through a phase last year where I bought higher priced denim (AGolde, Citizens, etc), but I actually prefer my Abercrombie denim to these nicer brands. When I bought these more expensive 100% cotton jeans, they wouldn’t work if I had even the slightest fluctuation in weight. It’s like they only fit if I was *just so*. Didn’t love that!
On the other hand, Abercrombie’s jeans have a tiny hint of stretch. (99% cotton, 1% elastane to be exact) That 1% elastane makes a world of difference when it comes to comfort. They stay with me through bloated days and fluctuations.
Besides that, the back pockets are placed just right to be super flattering, even on the baggier styles! And there’s no decorative stitching on the back pockets either — all their jeans are completely logo-less, which I absolutely love.
My favorite cuts are the mid rise 90’s straight and the mid rise baggy (what I’m wearing today — this particular cuffed style is sold out but they do have it in low rise and high rise).
For reference, if you know your Madewell jean size, go up one size at Abercrombie. If I’m a 24 in Madewell jeans, I’m a 25 in Abercrombie jeans.
Anyway, onto the rest of the outfit — the whole vibe of this outfit changed when I pushed up the sleeves of this jacket. Everything clicked into place with just that little styling move. And! It gives me a chance to show off some bracelets, which I’m very into right now. Isn’t that little red bracelet fun? I found it in a tchotchky shop while traveling.
