Worn on: Tuesday, March 19
So yes, my style has been expanding to include more color, pattern, and playful vibes — but that doesn’t mean I don’t still LOVE a good minimal look and pared back color palette.
As time passes and things change, I like to think of my style as if it’s expanding.
Rather than abandoning the old in favor of the new, I like to include the previous things I loved along with the new. Finding new ways to mix them up is pretty much my favorite thing.
Anyway, we’re going oversized on oversized today! The key to this look? Get those proportions jusssst right. I’ve got 3 quick tips for you:
- First, pay attention to the length of the pants. Baggy is good — baggy and too long requires expert level styling to pull off. (These Abercrombie jeans come in different lengths!)
- Next, show a little skin. It doesn’t take much — push up a sleeve to show a wrist, wear an open sandal, maybe show a hint of midriff.
- Finally, try a top that has a curved hem of some sort. This adds a hint of shape and keeps the outfit from looking too boxy.

Oooh the curved hem tip is genius!! I can see now how some of baggy-on-baggy looks have looked good OR fallen flat.
