Worn on: Monday, February 12
This whole outfit was built around this bright green beanie. I wanted to let it shine, so I kept everything else neutral — a grey base with a black coat.
Grey jeans are kind of magical. You’d think grey jeans and black jeans would be basically interchangeable, but they give off such different energies. Black jeans are a good basic, but grey jeans are a whole vibe.
I’m really in a jewelry phase right now! There’s nothing like the glint of jewelry against a dull knit, especially in winter. That bit of shimmer really breaks up the monotony of head-to-toe fabric. And anytime my outfit is leaning a little too masculine, a strand of pearls adds a hint of femininity to balance out the look. (This pearl necklace hasn’t let me down. Under $40 for real pearls!)
P.S. Have you heard Beyonce’s Texas Hold ‘Em? If not, stop everything and listen! I’ve had it on repeat since it came out this past weekend. Time to pull out my cowboy boots!
