Monday, January 15th • Hard to believe it was shorts weather last week, because winter has come in full force and we’re in the single digits this week! Well, for a few days anyway. Then it’s back to our usual, mild winter weather. (Have I mentioned how happy I am to live in a relatively warm place? The happiest.)
Since I don’t often have to dress for super cold temps, I often feel uninspired with it. Dressing for cold weather is my least favorite. So to cheer things up, I leaned into a rich color palette today — pine green and cinnamon brown! Gives me all the cozy feels! It helped me face the biting chill with a brighter outlook.
If you’re looking for a coat that combines form and function, allow me to put The Slouch Coat on your radar. This will be my 6th year with this coat, and I only love it more each year that passes. It’s made of recycled camel hair and wool, it’s got a thin vegan chamois built in for extra warmth without bulk, and it’s rated for warmth up to -4°F. It’s a forever coat.
