Okay I’m having a real moment with leather jackets. I included one in my Paris travel capsule wardrobe post the other day and kinda haven’t been able to stop thinking of them since. Inopportune timing, what with summer and all. But also, you never know when you’re going to encounter an aggressively air conditioned store or restaurant. You’ve gotta be prepared.
Remember a few posts back, when I was considering getting some new ballet flats? I had my eye on a pair from Reformation, but decided I didn’t want to spend quite that much. I ended up getting the Greta flats from Madewell and I’m so happy with them! Much softer, more comfortable, and under $100. They also come in a open weave option (for $50 more) which would keep your feet cooler in the summer.
“I’m not a belt person” — this has been my motto since 2018-ish. But look who’s wearing a belt today! THIS GAL. Looks like my preference has officially changed — love it when that happens.

I love how the leather from the jacket, belt and shoes really pulls it together. Love the look for summer with the shorts!
Great!!!
I love this! I really want to try ballet flats but am scared that they will be really flat feeling and uncomfortable. Do these have any cushioning at all?
They don’t have much cushioning, but I always add a Dr. Scholl’s sandal insole to shoes like this. It really helps!
