In my opinion, summer is the ideal time to go reeeal slouchy with your look and get that je ne sais quoi thing going on. The key is to balance all those slouchy pieces with a little skin — think wrists, ankles, shoulders, etc. That little bit of skin will keep you from feeling like you’re drowning in clothes.
I’m pretty elated about these low rise linen blend trousers from Abercrombie. They have a partially-elasticized waist that makes them ever so comfortable. Basically, they are the perfect pants to wear out to a cool restaurant when you want to try ALL THE THINGS.
High-rise bottoms are not my cup of tea, but if they’re yours, Abercrombie makes a high rise option too. Annnd then they also have a premium 100% linen version. The 100% linen pant will wear cooler in the summer, but the linen blend will wrinkle *slightly* less — pick your priority. Both will feel a scooch rough at first, but will soften up nicely with a couple washes.
Abercrombie’s petite/regular/tall inseam options are so convenient. I’m 5’5″ and the regular inseam feels like it was made for me. No trips to the tailor needed!

I ordered these pants from Abercrombie on Friday and they arrived on Sunday!!! I have to order online since the stores don’t carry long length and even with the long length they are a touch shorter then I’d prefer, but they are still great!
