I miss my y2k pink platform sandals from Target. Sooo maybe this necklace instead?

Apparently, I’m having a moment with my blue striped button up shirts right now. This is the third blue shirt outfit this week!

I’m feeling so drawn to them right now. I have a sneaking suspicion that it’s because blue pairs so well with the other colors I’m loving right now — classic red, university green, cobalt blue, bright pink. Light blue is such an easy counterpart to those bold colors.

Okay, but here’s the little detail in this fit that delights me to no end — that long beaded PINK necklace! So fun.

Something about that necklace feels beachy and carefree. I think it reminds me of my teen years. This small town Texas gal (me) wanted SO BADLY to be Marissa from The O.C. Yes, an absolute nightmare of a role model, but I sure loved her wardrobe! Anything beachy was welcome in my teenage wardrobe. (Looking at you, pink platform flip flops from Target. They had hibiscus flowers on them — no, not like pictures of hibiscus flowers, like ACTUAL silk hibiscus flowers. I felt so cool.)

Anyway.

A long beaded necklace with a collared shirt feels fresh to me right now. Have you tried it recently? Loop a long necklace over your button up and see what you think. Bonus points if it’s colorful! And let me know what you think!
