Some days, the outfit doesn’t need to be a whole thing. It just needs to feel like me.
I loved watching all the Met Gala looks roll in this week — but also, isn’t it nice that most of us don’t often (or ever) have to dress to that level of precision? Isn’t it nice to admire it and applaud it — while inhabiting the simple and easy for ourselves?
If you caught last week’s posts, you know I’ve been thinking about how easy it is to overcomplicate things — our wardrobes, our homes, our routines. The further into 2025 we get, the more I crave what’s simple and strong.
So today, I went for a black dress, a simple choker, and my favorite bag — and that was it. It didn’t need anything more to feel good to me.
I think there’s power in resisting the urge to embellish, overstyle, or prove something with what you wear. Sometimes simplicity is the boldest move you can make. It speaks with quiet confidence. The kind that comes from knowing yourself and accepting yourself.
Not every look has to be clever. Not every choice needs a thesis.
Sometimes enough is…perfectly enough.
Where in your life — or your closet — are you naturally drawn to simplifying?

I loved this post. No, we’re not at the Met Gala and that is great. “Not every choice needs a thesis”, yes to that!!
Amen to that. Simplicity is everything, especially when the weather gets warmer.
