Happy Saturday! Got another walking fit for you. This whole week was dim and dreary and wet. But I was able to eke out a walk one afternoon when, for a brief moment, a sliver of sunlight sliced through the grey skies.
I bundled up in forest green sweats, a waterproof jacket, thick merino wool socks, and a scarf I stole from my dad. It felt good to move in the fresh air after being indoors so much this week. As the saying goes: move a muscle, change a thought.
Hope your weekend is full of good things. <3

“Move a muscle, change a thought.” I love that and so very true!
Your chest of draws, I’ve noticed, is in your closet. I really like that idea. May I ask where you put your clothes that need hanging?
Hi Kelley! Yes! This room had two closets — one was converted into an open space, where my dresser now lives, and the second one is where my hanging clothes live. The second closet is the door right behind me in all the pictures. I’m really liking the unique setup. :)
Hi, Caroline! I’m a chronic non-commenter, but I’ve been reading your blog for years and just wanted to express my appreciation for your daily snippets lately. The thoughtfulness that goes into an outfit formula, the pops of color, I LOVE that Uniqlo bag (picked one up myself) – it all makes for a lovely little read in the morning. I’m very much a jeans-sweater-boots gal but I don’t mind that about myself; I have the pieces that I love and I want to get wear out of them. But finding inspiration in small details is something your blog brings to the table and it’s been so refreshing to look at what I have with new eyes and make new additions to my wardrobe really count :)
Thanks for doing what you’re doing! <3
Xx Mary
My thoughts exactly. Thanks for the work you put in these posts, Caroline. Love them!
Mary! Hi! :) I’m so glad you commented, and thanks so much for being a regular around here for years. Your words are so kind — I’m so glad that you’re finding inspiration for the little things here. That’s exactly what I hope to do here — thank you for the encouragement to keep doing it! <3 (Also, yes isn't that Uniqlo bag so good!? Love it!)
