Style-watching

One of my favorite things about travel is the chance to people-watch. Or more specifically, style-watch. It’s one thing to see a cool outfit photo on Instagram, but it’s an entirely different level of inspiration to see what someone wears in their real, day-to-day life.

On our way home from Savannah, we had a long layover in Nashville. Instead of sitting in the airport for hours, we decided to turn it into a bonus mini-trip and explore the 12South neighborhood. While browsing through White’s Mercantile, I passed a girl wearing a big leather jacket with baggy jeans and sneakers. It had that perfectly undone vibe — and I knew I wanted to create my own version of it using cargo pants instead of jeans. Love how it turned out!

Also! I can’t get enough of my blue plaid tote! It’s as if I suddenly can’t wear a completely neutral fit anymore — I need at least a tiny bit of color somewhere.
