YELLOW!

Oh hey, YELLOW! Such a happy color.

I was recently watching Tibi’s style class, and Amy Smilovic was talking about her One, Ton, None approach to color — that is, the best way to construct an outfit palette is to either wear one color, a ton of different colors, or no color at all. I’ve been chewing on this idea for a few days, and I decided one was the move today. Let that yellow shine. (I’m not counting denim as a color. At least not today. ;) )

Isn’t this shirt what dreams are made of? I found it secondhand recently, but it’s still available in stores too.

I’ve shared often that I don’t like high rise bottoms. Oh, it’s nothing against the look of them, they are just super uncomfortable to me and give me an instant stomach ache. But here I am wearing high rise shorts! By some miracle, I can wear this *particular* pair of high rise shorts with no problem at all. I got these Abercrombie Mom Shorts in 2021 and they’ve been a staple for me every spring and summer since. Highly recommend ’em. Abercrombie shorts always sell out this time of year — but not to worry, they restock regularly.
