I’ve recently found myself in this very cohesive aesthetic phase of dressing. Neutral colors, similar silhouettes, consistent vibe.
There’s something comforting about it. Like, finally, everything clicks.
I’m not gonna lie, it feels nice. :)
BUT!
One day, I might wake up and suddenly want to wear something totally different. And that doesn’t mean I’ve lost my style.
Sometimes, you’ll crave cohesion (me, right now). Other times, you’ll crave exploration (me, last spring). And it’ll likely flip again and again. That doesn’t mean anything’s wrong — it just means you’re flowing with what’s true for you right now.
It’s a lot like other rhythms in life. Maybe you find a workout routine that works beautifully — until it doesn’t. Or you find a parenting groove — only for it to stop working three weeks later. Nothing’s broken. You’re just moving through life.
Style works the same way.
So often we think of style as a destination. Something you find once — and then, well, you’ve found it. But style isn’t a destination at all. It’s a reflection of our lives, which are always in flux, always in flow.
And it’s so freeing when you stop expecting one fixed identity to hold you forever.
