My spring wardrobe needs a little love, so I’m starting here

Here’s what usually happens:

The 70°f days roll in and I leap forward into summer clothes, skipping over spring entirely.

If you were to open my closet, you’d find cozy wool coats and breezy linen dresses, but you’re less likely to find a lightweight jacket or breathable cotton sweater. I don’t know why, but to me, it’s easier to shop for the extremes (like winter and summer) and so spring clothes get overlooked.

This year I’m determined *NOT* to catapult headfirst into summer, but to slow down and show some love to the transitional section of my closet.

So my first area of focus? Spring jackets! I’ve been gradually working on this section of my closet, and it’s revolutionizing my wardrobe. So far, I’ve got a good denim jacket, my fave red fleece jacket, a good faux leather jacket (it’s SUPER lightweight), and now this water-resistant quilted jacket. Even though it’s quilted, it’s actually quite light — the ideal weight for spring.
