Worn on: Tuesday, February 13
Nothing overtly groundbreaking about this outfit but I’m FEELING IT. The particular detail that sends me over the top: two (yes two!) anklets peeking out from between the jean cuff and Birkenstocks. I’m lately allllll about a good ankle detail — anklets, socks, etc. If an outfit has an ankle detail, I’m here for it.
A few other things that make me feel non-boring in this outfit — a wordmark tote, cuffed jeans, a green ball cap — almost picked a white one, but the green adds more interest. Oh! And a white tee layered under the sweater. This has become one of my go-to styling moves this winter — I’ve repeated it who knows how many times. The most important thing to get right here is the length of the tee — it’s got to be long enough to peek out from under the bottom of the sweater, but not so long that it throws off the proportions of the outfit.
Okay. It’s time to talk about this sweater from Reformation. I wore it last week, but just slipped it in without saying anything. I splurged on it a couple weeks ago, and WOW I could not be happier that I did. Splurge-y purchases can make my palms sweat, but there was zero buyers remorse with this one. I want to wear it every day.
First things first, it’s cashmere. The softest, most cloud-like cashmere that drapes like a dream you never want to wake from. And! I didn’t get it in a neutral! Well, you could call this blue a neutral if you want, but it’s not actually navy — it’s a few shades lighter, so it feels fresh in my wardrobe. And the polo collar acts as an instant updater for anything I put with it. I plan to wear it all throughout spring too, with shorts and tennis skirts. I can’t recommend it enough.
That’s all for today. If you need some instrumental chillhop tunes to work to today, listen to Only Poem by Tom Doolie. So good. My fav song on the album is Aubade.

Thank you for sharing the Tom Doolie album, I’ve been listening to it for 24 hours now and it’s exactly the right thing!
Love to hear that Maggie! <3
Ummmm ok but this whole look is a WHOLE LEWK?! I’m loving it. Casual, creative, comfortable…I have been looking for a new loose navy sweater since my favorite got a bleach stain near the hem and I apparently tossed it. I wish I could go back and decide to keep it because I can’t find anything like it. But this is close!
