Nothing says don’t take it too seriously like an adult in overalls. And in the summer especially, that’s exactly the kind of energy I want to lean into.
It’s true — I’m an overalls person.
I’ve tried to talk myself out of it, I’ve tried to reason with myself — they’re “not chic enough” they’re “too childish” blah blah blah.
It doesn’t matter. I cannot be swayed. When I see an old photo of me wearing overalls (and there are a lot), I can’t help but smile. There’s a girl who’s wearing whatever makes her happy. Good for you, girl.
I do have a tip for you though!
When a piece feels too baggy or boyish — get it in white. Doing a ripped, crumply piece in a high-maintenance color like white achieves perfect balance. It works! Doesn’t matter what it is — if it’s white it instantly gives off more of a minimalist and elevated vibe.
