Eeee! Red sneakers again! They make me so happy. If you missed the post about my friendship sneakers, go back and give it a read. (And let me know if you’ve done something similar with your BFF.)
One of my favorite things about these sneakers? Those ballet pink laces. They almost read as white, but nope! They’re pink.
I often like to repeat colors in an outfit, but I try to do it in a subtle way.
How? Pick out the color in your outfit with the smallest presence. Take a look at the colors in this outfit — we’ve got denim blue, white, red, and just a speck of pink.
So instead of repeating the red tone of the sneakers with, say, a red bag, I opted to work with those quieter pink tones. Pink shoelaces, meet pink necklace!
Without that necklace, all the color would be at the very bottom of the outfit. But this necklace pulls color up through the look, giving everything a gentle feeling of balance.
