Is there anything better than a rainy day at a coffee shop? Gentle acoustic music playing, rain tapping on the windows, and everyone sipping on coffee, cozy and dry, absorbed in their tasks. We don’t get a ton of it where I live, so there’s nothing like rain to pull me out of the monotony and spark a little wonder.
Since it’s wet out today, it’s BOOT DAY! But it’s not super cold, so I paired them with a mini skirt. Although this skirt is actually a skort! As a person who loves a short skirt but doesn’t love to flash people, I appreciate the person who thought to wrap fabric around a pair of shorts and call it a skort.

It was rainy/icy here last night – I had to go pick up my daughter from practice and I came inside to sit with her coaches. I was in an oversize blue knit cap with faux fur pom, a navy shin length parka, and my tan Sorel Joan of arctic snow boots. Plus my black round frame driving glasses (I need them at night). Not nearly as cute as this, and one of the coaches didn’t recognize me. He said “I thought to myself: who is this young boy?” HELP 🤣
I love these boots of yours, they are just the right amount of edgy! I wish it were warm here – but instead it’s snowing. 🫠 Happy International Women’s Day and enjoy SXSW! (Can’t remember if you’re still Austin adjacent)
