So boring

I was really feeling a plain tee and jeans look today. But once I had it on, I wondered if it was a little too boring — or, rather, I wondered if other people would think it was a little too boring. I loved it plain, but you know how sometimes you absorb a little too much social media and start thinking your preferences might be wrong somehow?

Yeah, that happened. So, even though it didn’t feel right, I put on some more things in attempt to make the fit more interesting — jewelry, ball cap, etc.

But it wasn’t settling with me.

So just before I left the house, I decided to honor my own preferences in a way that felt right and joyful to me. I shed the extra things (and the concern of what people think). Once I was back in the plain tee and jeans, I immediately felt like myself again.

Whatever you’re going for today — whether that’s plain or quite the opposite — I hope you do it in a way that feels right and joyful to you.
