Happy weekend! I’ve got another walking fit for you!
While warm weather dressing has my heart, I do love a chilly-but-not-cold day outfit — like this one. I’m layered up with a long sleeve, a sweatshirt, and a vest on top, but I can get away with shorts on bottom.
I’ve had this vest for a couple of years, but I hadn’t been reaching for it — until just recently! Sometimes you lose inspiration with a piece (possibly for a long time), but that doesn’t necessarily mean you should get rid of it.
General fashion advice tells us to get rid of an item if it hasn’t been worn it in a year. I think this concept is useful when held lightly, but perhaps less helpful when treated as a hard rule. Sometimes a forgotten item will fall back into your favor, suddenly and unexpectedly — just like this vest did for me!
I’m glad I kept it. I’ve had a lot of fun styling it recently. (Loved it in this outfit too.)
I hope you’re having a lovely weekend. <3

The pop of colour from the shorts really brightens the outfit… Certainly wish I could wear shorts in Feb here in the UK…
Hi Caroline, would you ever consider doing a post on your workout routine? Your legs are so toned and slim! Love your style philosophy <3
Hi Nicole! I notice a big difference when I swim regularly — treading water really helps keep everything toned.
