Still so giddy about the lil’ photo upgrade here on the blog. In case you missed it, I switched from my iPhone camera to my old Olympus camera — and I love the softer result.
And…I think there’s something a little deeper here, too.
At first, when I wanted to improve the photos, I made things so much harder than they needed to be. In fact, one of my “solutions” was moving?! To a more beautiful house?! That isn’t in the plan or budget at all?! Talk about a wildly unnecessary overreach.
But that’s where I was at — overcomplicating the solution.
All the while, the real answer was simple:
Use what I have.
Pull my old camera out from under my bed and start using it.
And just like that, I’m happy with my blog photos again.
It’s funny how often we do this — not just with creative projects, but with our closets, our homes, even our everyday routines. We tell ourselves that to feel better, we need a total overhaul. Fancier outfits. Nicer spaces. Bigger changes.
But sometimes, all we need is a small tweak.
Not every solution has to be heavy or complicated. Sometimes the simplest changes can create the biggest ripple effect.
