THIS SET! How stunning is this set?! You know how much I love a good low rise pant — these low-rise, linen-blend trousers are my DREAM. And this cute matching top is breezy and comfortable. Especially love that it doesn’t require a bra.
In wintertime, I absolutely cannot get myself to wear black. It feels much too drab during an already drab time of year. In fact, I shunned black so hard this winter, I thought I might be done with it for good.
But once glance at the last 5 outfits I’ve worn tells me, nope! Black is still going strong in my wardrobe. It just may be more of a summertime color for me. Which feels a little backwards in theory, but oh so right in practice.
Okay, let’s talk about these shoes and how they didn’t quite work out like I’d hoped:
A black kitten heel flip flop has been on my list for a little while now. I practically live in flip flops so these should be the perfect dressier version, right? Well…not quite. Before I left the house, I ended up changing into my regular flip flops and I actually decided to return these kitten heels after all. They were cute but something about them felt off. I think I didn’t like the heel shape or maybe they just feel too dressy for summer when I like to fully go casual. But! I’ll keep you posted and let you know if I find a similar winner.

The flip flop heels are cute but I imagine they’d be difficult to walk in! I have been almost totally eschewing heels for about a year now, maybe a little more. I have a really high arch, and small narrow feet, so finding flats is kind of a challenge but I’ve managed to amass quite a nice flats collection. I’m like you in the summer: my black leather flip flops get the most action.
