Why yes, I am wearing shorts in December. If it’s above 60°F, it’s shorts for me. What can I say? This summer gal hates to give up her shorts. I’ll be clinging onto them for as long as I possibly can, which probably won’t be that much longer. (On that note, I didn’t buy much for Black Friday, but I did get — you guessed it — shorts for next year!)
Okay, these socks feel a little balletcore to me. And while I wouldn’t use the label balletcore to describe my overall style, I do LOVE the feminine touch these socks add to this very sporty outfit.
A few posts back, I wrote about how I’m really into the idea of adding small contrasting elements to my usual sporty/minimal style. In that post, it was western style — cowboy boots, to be exact. In this post, it’s balletcore — socks that look kinda like ballet leg warmers. So often when I think of trying out a new style, I feel like it must be done in some grand, sweeping way — but it’s been more fun (and more doable) to explore new styles in small doses like this.
What small, contrasting element could you add to your usual outfit today?
