I cooled on Madewell jeans for a little while there because none of their washes were hitting the spot for me — but now their washes are coming back strong and I’m so happy about it! This clean, classic, mid blue wash is exactly what I was looking for.
Okay, let’s chat about this blazer. I found it in the middle of summer last year, did not buy it, then couldn’t stop thinking about it for months. Finally, when Reformation had their Black Friday sale, I scooped it up and I’m so glad I did.
It checks so many boxes for me. It’s made of a wool blend so it’s super warm — in fact, in Texas, I can even wear it as a coat sometimes.
(However, something to note — the wool blend fabric makes it a bit of a lint magnet. I usually lint roll mine every couple of wears. For me, the pros of the blazer far outweigh this con, but if that’s a deal breaker for you, you may want to pass on it.)
Also! The fit! Somehow, it’s both oversized yet fitted. I’ve never found a blazer with this fit before and I LOVE it! It’s got a longer length and it’s roomy throughout — but it also nips in at the waist, which is BEAUTIFUL. It gives a little bit of hourglass shape while retaining that boxy fit that feels modern.

Hope you’re having a good Monday. Thank you for being here!
Love this blazer and the idea of wearing it as a coat! I just offloaded an unworn A&F wool blend dad peacoat on my teenage niece since it felt like I wasn’t getting any opportunities to wear it in TX. This seems like a great compromise though to get a similar look without it being overkill of warmth
