I am having a moment with Y2K fashion. I love it unabashedly and am so happy it’s back. Lime green was the happy color of my teen years, and it still gives me all the good vibes. Plus that funky floral print? LOVE. This outfit is one part minimal-chic, one part Limited Too.
I was pleasantly surprised with the fit of this skirt. I didn’t expect it to fit, but it has a nice a-line shape to it. I think this particular color is almost sold out online, but you can hop on the waitlist or check out one of the other 4 color ways. It’s such a good skirt I’m almost considering getting it in another color. As always, I pop a pair of bike shorts on underneath for peace of mind in case of wind gusts.
The bag I’m carrying is the same baguette shoulder bag I’ve been carrying in almost every post lately — but I don’t think you’ve seen it worn crossbody yet! It transforms from a shoulder bag into a crossbody bag, thanks to an ingeniously designed strap. It’s one of the best, most versatile bags I’ve ever had.

Ooh I loved Limited Too back in the day LOL…my first fashion love. Love this look–easy, comfortable, summery. Super cute! Maybe it’s time I dabble in wearing mini skirts again :D
Hi Christy! Limited too was my first fashion love too — it’s so fun to bring a piece of that into my current style. Definitely give a mini skirt a try again! With shorts underneath, they are super easy to wear and can keep you cool for the summer months.
Love this outfit! I’m convinced Y2K fashion was the best. For me it hit the most checks. Comfort, flattering , attractive, ease.
Oh, this post is rad!
1. That outfit is fantastic! FANTASTIC.
2. I was a teen in the 80s (don’t judge) and a young adult in the 90s, and I did not realize until I saw/read this post how much space in my heart I have for 90s fashion. Looking at your photos and reading your words just felt so…comforting. Happy. A nice reminder that we are all partly the people who lived in that more innocent time. So thank you for reconnecting me with that part of myself.
3. I have purchased that skirt in Mezzanine, and it will fill the cute-60s/80s/90s-miniskirt hole in my wardrobe and give me somethig classier than my cutoff denim shorts (don’t judge) to wear this summer.
Thank you, Caroline! Rock on.
Jen, your comment made me smile so big — thanks for bringing the energy! And LOL, I would never judge cutoff denim shorts — they are classic in my book. And so glad you were able to snag the skirt in Mezzanine — I LOVE that print!!
Limited Too used to be my jam. <3
I have been trying to do more secondhand shopping lately and just buying clothes that make me happy, regardless of whether or not they fit into recent trends. Now that I've been focusing on that I can tell that my sense of style is stuck somewhere in the 2010s.
Oh well… :-D
LOL Lauren, I relate! Being off Instagram has helped me hone in on what I really want to wear. It’s so nice to just focus on what makes you happy no matter where it falls in the trend cycle. And hey, the 2010’s were a pretty great fashion era. :)
