I’m so happy it’s dress season. Nothing simplifies the getting dressed process like a dress — just put it on and go.
This one from Reformation has been on heavy rotation with all the hot weather we’ve been having, and the fact that it’s machine washable has been so convenient. You give pause to wearing a long sleeve dress in the summer, but I like having the option to adjust the sleeves as necessary — it’s nice to have the option to push them up if it’s hot, or I can pull them down and wear them long in case of chilly indoor AC.
I kept things simple and monochromatic with this look and finished it with my dad sandals and a canvas tote.

I’m glad you stopped by today. Have a wonderful day! <3
What exactly do you wear under your short. short dresses? I’d like to try them, but this part is a puzzle to me.
Hi Keri! I wear bike shorts. Usually a 5-6in inseam is right. Gives me all the peace of mind. :)
Thank you! From a bike store?
I get mine from Aerie, Lululemon, or Outdoor Voices. :)
Hi Caroline! Love this look! I’ve been desperately trying to find dresses that look cute and are functional (I.e., travel well and have pockets). Any other recommended brands that you love? I’ve been looking at Reformation so keeping that on the list too!
So pretty. I think black looks cool in the summer. I haven’t commented on your blog before but I appreciate the simplicity of your style and I have enjoyed reading your posts over the years. Thanks
Gorgeous!
Do you take your own pictures? I love the black and white one with the shadows in the background.
The chunky/sturdy sandal with the dress is perfect for day time but I could see it going into evening as well. Love it!
