Give me a simple, sporty outfit any day.
A good pair of black joggers is a staple in my wardrobe, and this particular pair is right on. I love the super high rise, wide waistband, and center seam down the front that elevates them just a bit. I’m usually a Small in bottoms and I’m wearing a Small here — they fit TTS.
Also — THIS tank top. The square neck has my heart right now, and I love the way this one squares off in the back too. It adds a touch of chic to this simple, sporty outfit. Plus it’s a great basic to have in your rotation. I’m wearing an XS — it runs TTS.
I got these sandals last year — or wait, it was 2020. I think? The years run together. Point is, I love that this particular shoe is still being made. I’ve gotten so much use out of mine and they are not slowing down. And happy for you, the price recently dropped by half! I’m usually a 7 and am wearing a 7 here.

This is a cute outfit, but I’m having trouble understanding why you have the bag slung over your chest. It looks awkward to my eye. I noticed on the website, they are calling this an “everywhere” bag. Not sure if it is because you can take it everywhere with you, or because you can wear it everywhere on your body, or maybe both. They used to call this type of bag a “fanny pack,” but then it started to get a bad rap. Honestly, wouldn’t it look better to just sling it over one shoulder? Or sling it cross body, to be more secure, but have the bag in the back.
Hi Michelle! Some days I wear it slung over one shoulder, some days I wear it around my waist like a fanny pack (it technically is a fanny pack). Lots of ways you could wear it. Today I liked the look of it worn crossbody — just something different and it works for me. :)
Love this bag and look. ❤️
Hi Caroline! Love the sporty vibe; I’m leaning into it with more WFH these days :)
I’ve been looking for a pair of slides for a while and love these–what’s your experience with them squeaking when you walk (I noticed that comment in several reviews)?
Hi Christy! They definitely make a slapping sound when you walk, but I get that with any slide or flip flop, so it doesn’t bother me. If my feet are *super* sweaty, they can squeak. I wear them several times a week though and I’ve only had that happen maybe two or three times. Mine are older, so I’m not sure if they’ve perhaps changed the material and that’s where the squeaking issue is coming from — but I think they are worth a try. I love them.
Thanks so much for the feedback! I think I’ll give them a shot :)
Hi! I love your blog and I’m so happy you’re back.
Just curious why all your photos have been dark recently. I’m sure there’s a reason, but I find it very difficult to see the outfit well.
Hi Eleanor! I tried out a new editing style and took it too far — oops! Lesson learned. :) Moving forward the photos will be lighter and easier to see. I appreciate your feedback so much — please let me know if new posts continue to look too dark to you.
