Okay, I haven’t had this much fun with my hair in a minute!
I don’t know how I missed the memo on hair wavers — I JUST found out about them. THIS WEEK.
As a straight-hair-gal who’s always wanted curly hair, this discovery has been a total delight!
This is my first try with it, okay, so don’t judge me too hard.
And the best part? This little hair waver now prevents me from making one of my most questionable decisions — getting a perm.
Yes, I’ve done it before. Yes, I regretted it. Yes, I still considered getting another one even after regretting it.
What can I say? There’s no logic involved when it comes to a perm.
Anyway, moving on to the outfit.
Nothing I love more than donning a HUGE poplin shirt on a hot day.
That oversized silhouette allows for maximum airflow, keeping me comfortable and breezy. Plus, the loose fit gives off an effortlessly chic vibe.
I finished the look with Birkenstock Arizona sandals and denim cutoff shorts. Then I added a little shine with a silver chain necklace. Nice and easy.

Hope you’re having nice week. Take care!
Your looks are amazing but they are always the same.
Everyday you wear the same kind of clothes and the same way to mix them.
I think you should innovate a little because we can see what you show every day on the street to any woman.
Best wishes.
Hi Maria! I definitely go through phases where my style gets suuuuper repetitive. I think that’s a natural part of personal style, and a lot of people can relate to it. I’m always down to shake things up. But, to me, it’s important that I do it in a way that’s true to my style and life — not just do it for the sake of making content.
Yo tengo un estilo muy similar al tuyo, y me encantas, me refiero a introducir nuevas prendas diferentes dentro de tu estilo.
Y muchísimas gracias por contestar mi comentario.
Un saludo.
Thanks Maria! New seasons are always a time of fresh inspiration, so we’ll see what summer will bring. :)
I love your simplified, beautiful wardrobe ideas. Makes dressing for the day so much easier but still fun and stylish.
Hey! Love the curls and the outfit!! I’ve recently fell in love with the new-ish American Wave perm and love getting my at this salon.
I do not have damaged hair afterwards! https://biggerbetterhair.com/beach-wave-perm-salon-dallas/
OMG Stephanie, I’ve seen this too! This is exactly what makes me want to try a perm again! I love that you got it done and so glad you didn’t have any damage after! How has styling been since you got it done? Easier?
What products do you use to keep the wave in your hair? Mine falls flat after 30 min.
Hi Melissa! I use Bumble & Bumble Thickening Dryspun Volume Texture Spray. That stuff will make my hair hold a curl even better than hairspray. It also adds tons of texture and volume, which is perfect for the messy waves look. I also find that my hair will hold a curl way better if it’s not freshly washed. Three or four day hair is the perfect time to do this wavy style because it’ll hold better.

I’ve been wanting to try this hair waver for a long time! I love this mermaid waves vibe! You look gorgeous :)
Thanks Anne! <3 You should definitely try it! It's so much fun.
Ohhhhh, I love the beachy-wavy hair!!! It looks great on you, and so fun!
I can relate to the perm angst. I got a spiral perm in the 90s (yep), and it was INTENSE. My hair is thick, with one unpredictable and rarely fashionable wave in it. But that perm! I looked like the Bride of Frankenstein for 3 hours while it set, got a cramp in my neck from the weight of the rollers, but then LOVED that all I had to do was wash it, scrunch some mousse in it (oh the 90s!), and I was good to go!
The fun thing about experimenting with different hairstyles is that it’s always gonna grow out eventually, and if need be, there are plenty of cute scarves and hats out there in the meantime! Have fun! You look great! 💕
I have been eyeing one of those type of hair curlers for a long time – I love that this one isn’t too $$$… I love my beach waves but sometimes you wanna go for a full on PERM look!
