Not too long ago, I realized I had a gap in the middle of my wardrobe — I needed a bridge between “dressed” clothes and lounge clothes. It’s been fun to focus on this part of my wardrobe and begin filling it out, and this outfit is an example of that bridge.
I call this look Friend’s House Hangout — something I’d wear to a good friend’s house for a chill hang out. It’s like, I don’t want to wear hard pants, but I still want to get dressed. I want to be comfortable, but still express some of my fashion side.
So, sweat shorts, yes. But make it chic with a collared poplin button down and subtle silver jewelry. On a chillier day, you could easily swap the sandals for sneakers and the shorts for full length sweats too.

Love these posts! BTW, I’d love some comfortable bra ideas to wear with white tanks/tees. Thanks!
Hi Holly! YES. I’ve been easing back into wearing “real” bras and my go to right now is the Aerie Sunnie Wireless Lightly Lined bra. Super comfy!

Yesss the casual chic look.
I call this look, “post-covid chic”. Wearing real clothes without wearing REAL clothes haha
Obsessed with this look! I have these shorts in black – any color recs for tops?
Hi Lauren! I’m so into soft sage green with black right now — that could be beautiful. Or maybe a soft blue stripe poplin and white tank with the black shorts. Also love the classic combos — black/grey, black/beige, and of course black/white.
OHHHHMYYYYGOD!! You are back! I hope all is well. So excited to have you back blogging !’
Thanks Christina! Happy to be back! :)
