I stumbled across these jeans at my fav vintage shop in Dallas (Dolly Python) and something in me LIT UP. I did not expect to have such a strong response, but it was like a tidal wave. Like a bowl-you-over, change-your-perception-of-yourself, break-through-something-you-didn’t-even-know-was-there kind of wave.
And now this is my favorite outfit.
I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is that makes me love it so much — is it the jeans? Is it that they are men’s jeans? Is it that they are low rise? Is it something else? What speaks to me about it so?
If I could figure it out, I would be recreating the vibe in other ways.
But I suppose that’s the joy of the journey. This was the first discovery — a new facet of my style, a new part of me asking for expression. The rest will unfold over time. How fascinating!

I hope you have a lovely weekend. Thank you for stopping by today!
Hello Caroline!
yes, that tickles my (un)fancy! I don’t know why it checks all the boxes either, but it does!
This look is punk. I love it!
You look great in them. I hope I can find some just like yours.
You look great in everything! What color of nail polish are you wearing on your toes?
Thanks MW! I’m wearing Coco by Static Nails. It’s a super soft white — not too bright or jarring, just really nice.
This is my favorite fit yet! Nice score, Caroline!
THESE JEANS ARE EVERYTHING ON YOU. 10/10 and with gratitude for sending me down a depop hole for more of my fave Levis fit! (505s, actually, if you can believe it). Can I ask what size you’re in in the Madewell tee? (In your photos I don’t see a slit at the side hem but I do online?)
Thank you Jaime! Your energy is giving me all the energy! :) I’m in a M in the Madewell tee — the version I’m wearing is a little bit older, I think they made a few updates to it recently, but it should fit about the same. I hope you find the perfect 505’s on depop!
Wow,this is the third time you’ve been reading my mind and we’ve been buying the same clothes. It makes me feel great because you have great style, I have been scouring eBay and Poshmark for old LEVIS 501, and purchased a bunch. Something came to me about the ones I had in the 90s and even before, and I loved. I loved them because they were not too tight, not too loose and had a bad ass classic thing about them , which I can’t explain, but we all understand – LEVIS, enough said. So, love love this out fit!
Ooh I love this outfit on you too! I think part of it’s the combo of baggy top + baggy pants, it’s edgy and masculine, but the black and bright white color palette feels effortlessly chic. And the shredded, relaxed shape of the jeans is a cool contrast with the color; white jeans usually feel more “high-maintenance” to me. Glad you’re loving it!
Here is to the rest unfolding over time!! I love your look and I am SO happy you are posting frequently again ♥
