Colorful outfits two days in a row! Yesterday it was forest green, today it’s a soft french blue.
I’m learning to do color in a way that feels authentic to my minimalist aesthetic — and I’m super excited about it! For me, it’s all about choosing pieces that still have clean, minimal lines — like tees, sweatshirts, and button-up shirts.
I’m wearing the Madewell Oversized Poplin shirt in this outfit. It’s got a beautiful cloudy blue tone, and is more of a tunic length. That longer length is perfect for leggings and bike shorts. I’d recommend getting one size down. You’ll still get an oversized look, but just not quite so enormous.
I also want to put another blue poplin shirt on your radar — the Abercrombie Oversized Poplin. The blue is a little less grey and, while the fit is oversized, it’s more of a classic, borrowed-from-the-boys fit — not a tunic length. It looks great with jeans and cutoff shorts. It fits TTS, so I’d recommend taking your normal size.
