Welcome to a new little series! I thought I’d start sharing some items on my wish list with you, so you can get a sense of where my style is headed — almost like a glimpse into my future style.
I’m a big fan of shopping primarily based off a wish list — it allows me to plan and budget, and most importantly, it helps me avoid impulse purchases that I might regret later. I’m certain I won’t be getting everything on this list this summer, but hopefully it’ll give you a bit of inspiration for your own summer style.
If you see something you like, you can shop it and support my blog at the same time by using the affiliate links throughout this post.
From the top:
1 | Mini Belt Bag by Lululemon | I love to go on long walks in the summer, and having a little bag where I can stash my phone and key will be so helpful.
2 | Charlotte Gold Huggie Hoops by Mejuri | These come in silver too — I can’t decide which!
3 | Favorite Waistcoat by Favorite Daughter | I love the idea of pairing it with a slouchy pair of jeans and dad sandals. Or even athletic shorts and sneakers. I just love that vests as tops are back! I think this one is almost sold out, but they typically restock.
4 | Tempo Shorts by Nike | Here’s an item I’ve already purchased — in fact, I’m wearing them as I type! They are wonderful for long summer walks, but I also like to style mine with nicer tops for that sporty-chic look.
5 | Leni Dress by Rails | I think this is my favorite item in this round up, and the back of the dress is where the magic is — it’s got a gorgeous cutout strappy back that’s just stunning. Comfortable, hot weather friendly, and chic. Just add sneakers or fisherman sandals.
6 | Tie Back Tank by Frame | I am SWOONING over this top. It’s a statement top without being fussy, and it’s wearable since it’s not cropped or skin tight. I love the idea of wearing it with baggy white jeans, Birkenstocks, sunglasses, and a big tote.
7 | Paloma Jeans by Citizens of Humanity | Really into baggy jeans these days, and this pair from Citizens has been in the back of my mind since I tried them on a couple months ago. In my usual size, they have a classic wide-leg look. But I also like the idea of sizing up one or two and wearing them super slouchy and baggy.
8 | Arizona Sandals by Birkenstocks | Here’s another item I already purchased! I almost never take mine off and cannot speak highly enough of them. I had originally planned to get them in black or white, but I’m so glad I ended up getting them in taupe — it’s a nice change from my mostly black sandal collection.
9 | Anchor Chain Anklet by Mejuri | ANKLETS! I’m WAY into them. I want to invest in one that’s high quality, but that also means I keep putting off the purchase. This anklet by Madewell has caught my eye too, and it’s much less expensive.
10 | Cotton Canvas Tote by Museum of Peace and Quiet | I recently discovered Museum of Peace and Quiet and everything about them speaks to me. I carry my smaller canvas tote everywhere, but have also been on the lookout for a larger one like this.
11 | Black Baseball Cap | I’ve got a small collection of baseball caps, but I don’t have a black one yet. I like how this one is simple and clean. Plus it’s water repellent and cool to the touch — great for summer heat.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you’re having a lovely day.
Hey there! Love the list! I’m glad your blogging a lot again! Just wanted to let you know the link for the Tie Back Tank actually takes you to the earrings! Happy Thursday!
Thanks for letting me know Michel! Fixed now. :)
My daughter purchased a solid black baseball cap for me earlier this year, I wear it often with all different types of outfits!
I’ve actually never owned a pair of Birkenstock’s, but have always admired them, even way back in the 90s! If I ever do decide to snatch some up, I think I’d also go with this taupe color.
Love to hear you’re getting so much use out of the black baseball cap, Kimberly! The Birkenstocks are so good — I kind of can’t believe I’ve never had a pair of their sandals before now, because I too remember admiring them back in high school. :)
That looks like the perfect summer wish list!! I have yet to invest in proper Birks … maybe this summer.
Hi Caroline, I really enjoy your content and look forward to every post. Thanks again!
That makes me happy, thank you Bethany!
I have the Mejuri anchor chain necklace and bracelet and I LOVE THEM. I want the anklet, too. It’s just so delicate and a little sparkly…perfectly minimalist with something just a little extra special.
