Well, we did it! Our Unfancy summer shoot went down this weekend and it a mix of delightful fun + serious productivity. We shoot everything for Unfancy in our tiny lil’ 600 square foot apartment — I’m a minimalist when it comes to our home, too. We set up the backdrop in our living room and leave it up all weekend so we can pace ourselves with the 60+ outfits to shoot for each capsule wardrobe. We jam to this playlist or this one + I run back and forth between our set and my closet + my hubby takes photos.

It was a happy weekend. :)

Anyway, for this look, I decided to dress up a baseball tee with some heels + a cheetah clutch. This look is about as business-y as I go, but it’s one of my favorites. I’ve realized one of the things that defines my style is wearing dressy silhouettes (pencil skirt) in a casual fabric (soft jersey). Leaving some tension between the casual + dressy is what make an outfit Unfancy.
