Capsule #3 / Outfit 8
Say hello to my summer uniform for day-to-day stuff. White button up + cutoffs + Birkenstocks. Most of the time, I don’t even bother with the bracelets or clutch, but occasionally I’ll add them when I want to move 10 points up the style scale.
This shirt was a risky buy for me this summer. I had been on the lookout for the perfect soft white button up when I spotted a girl rocking this one. I kindly asked her where she found it and she kindly told me. So I beelined to Urban Outfitters to grab it because certainly everyone else had realized how perfect it was too + I had to get there before they bought out the stock. Obviously.
Upon finding it in store though, I realized it was a very fragile shirt. To the point I was afraid I was going to rip off a sleeve with one wrong reach. Or I could see myself pulling it out of the wash only to find it had disintegrated into lint balls.
Despite the red flags, I bought it anyway.
But I’m so glad I did. Surprisingly, it’s turned out to be one tough shirt. I’ve purposely not been easy on it. I’ve worn it on multiple road trips, lounged around the house in it, cleaned the kitchen in it a few times, washed + dried it repeatedly — and it’s going strong! I’m impressed.
