That’s what I’ve been saying to myself lately.
When I went to Savannah last month, I was struck by how enthusiastically people were dressing. People were out here wearing their best clothes, really doing things.
It inspired me. It made me want to commit to my outfits with more conviction — to really try and stick the landing.
And now’s my chance, because I’ve got another trip on the horizon. So you know I’ve been dreaming about the kinds of outfits I might wear.
Here are a couple outfits I’m planning to pack:

1 | Jeans + heels + a moto jacket + and a colorful little bag
Yes, yes I know this outfit may not be a style risk for a lot of people. But since I spend almost 100% of my time wearing sneakers, loose tees, and canvas tote bags, nothing feels more outrageous than wearing heels, a tight crop top, AND a green bag, all at the same time! (How cute is that beaded little bag?!)
Also, don’t miss those earrings. Absolute stunners for under $20 — sculptural and oversized, falling just above my shoulder. Keep in mind, they are a little on the heavier side, so they probably aren’t great for all day wear — but they are gorgeous for a night out.
Abercrombie Mid Rise 90s Straight Leg Jeans
James Avery Puffy Heart Anklet
Reformation Serenity Bare Sandal (they also come in RED if you are so inclined)

2 | Matching skirt and top set
Oooooh! Now we are really doing a thing! Like I mentioned before, I rarely wear tight clothes from top to bottom. I also rarely wear this silhouette of skirt, because at some point in the past, I deemed it “not flattering” on me. But I’m glad I gave this set a chance, because I actually *adore* how different it is from my usual rotation. It’s really fun to see myself in a new silhouette — especially one I thought I’d never wear. (Note to self: revisit your “nevers” from time to time because you might surprise yourself.)
Reformation Wiley Knit Top (I got an XS — it’s currently sold out, but get on the wait list because they restock it regularly!)
Reformation Iris Knit Skirt (I got a S — this skirt is definitely see through, but you can put a slip underneath)
Reformation Sienna Heeled Sandal
Amazon Light Blue Shoulder Bag

Thank you Leah, I appreciate this so much! <3 <3
The H&M earrings look like something designed by Elsa Peretti. Adore!
I absolutely ditto Leah. You have changed the way I dress and shop! And thank you for sharing these outfits–they’re such a breath of fresh air (as is your writing, always).
Can’t tell you how much this means to me — thank you Ally! <3 <3
