The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is still going strong, and I thought I’d share 5 of my top beauty picks today. These are all products that I have a ton of experience with, so I’m excited to recommend them.
1 | T3 Single Pass Curl 1.25″ Extra Long Barrel Ceramic Iron | sale $99.99, after sale $149.99 | I’ve had the T3 Single Pass Curl Iron since…2017? 2016? A long time! I’ll be honest, my curling iron gets less use these days (I use my flat iron way more — scroll down to number 3 for that one), but I’m still so happy I have this one. That ceramic barrel gives me the shiniest waves.
2 | Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray Duo | sale $74, $104 value | This stuff is like a dry shampoo and a texturizing spray — it’s the best of both worlds. I have fine hair and this gives it oomph without making it feel heavy or super full of product. Plus the smell is nice.
3 | GHD Platinum 1 inch Flat Iron | sale $179, after sale $289 | Okay, if I could only recommend ONE thing from the sale, it would be this flat iron. I got mine during the Nordstrom Sale in 2018 and I’m so glad I did because I use it constantly. Not to straighten or curl my hair — but to get beach waves. I stumbled upon the beach wave flat iron technique while watching one of Chloe Hayward’s vlogs (starting at 10:04 — the link should take you to it directly). It’s not a full tutorial, but you’ll pick it up from the quick 15 second clip.
It takes a bit of practice to get it right — the first time I did it, it did not look good. But I got the hang of it after a few tries and now I’m obsessed with how low-key and natural the waves look.
4 | Oribe Gold Lust Shampoo and Conditioner Set | sale $102, $152 value | I’ve been faithfully committed to Oribe Gold Lust shampoo ever since I tried it in 2020. All the ads for Prose and Olaplex cannot sway me. This is the stuff. My hair is super prone to split ends, but this shampoo strengthens and seals my hair like nothing else. If you want to take it further, their Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil is UMMMazing, too.
If you try it and like it, here’s my hack to make it more affordable: I snag their liter refill pouch on sale every Black Friday, and decant it into a liter shampoo bottle. For me, one liter refill pouch lasts well over a year — probably about 14 months. I also only get the shampoo. I do love the Oribe conditioner, but I go with a drugstore brand instead to keep things more budget friendly.
5 | Anastasia Eyebrow Kit | sale $44, $73 value | Anastasia is another brand I’ve been loyal to since 2018-ish. I use their Brow Wiz in Soft Brown daily. It’s their colors that get me — I’ve never found a more perfect match to my brow color.
