It’s that time again — time for the Fall 10×10!
Each season, I get to host this little wardrobe challenge alongside my blogging bestie (and 10×10 creator!) Lee of Style Bee.
And we’ve decided this particular round is coming at just the right time. We’re excited and grateful to connect with all of our #10x10friends again, try something new together, and soak up positive vibes from each other.
Ready to get started?
Here’s how it works: Pick 10 items of clothing from your closet. Include tops, bottoms, and shoes for your everyday life. Don’t include accessories, bags, PJs, or gym clothes — they can flow in and out freely. Then, for 10 days, create a new outfit each day using your 10 items.
That’s it!
No need to buy anything. No need to throw anything out. No need to commit to minimalism forever. No need to overhaul your wardrobe.
Instead, it’s all about trying something new and having fun. This isn’t a serious, rule-based challenge. I mean, sure it has guidelines, but really, it’s less about the success of the challenge, and more about what it teaches us along the way.
Everyone has a different reason for jumping in. Some people do it to test drive a minimalist wardrobe without the commitment. Some do it to foster love for the clothes they already have. Some use it as a trial run to pack for an upcoming trip. Some do it to find like-minded style friends through the #fall10x10 hashtag. And some do it to push their outfit-making creativity to new heights.
Whatever your reason, Lee and I would love for you to join us in the spirit of lightheartedness.
And if you mess up, or can’t make 10 outfits, or something just goes plain wrong — how fascinating! :)
Intrigued? Keep reading — today I’m sharing:
- my single intention for this challenge
- the 10 pieces I picked for my remix
- how to plan your remix in 25 minutes flat
MY INTENTION
Last time, during the Summer 10×10, my intention was to get out of my comfort zone and try a new style.
However, my intention for this fall challenge is quite different. This time around, I’m going in for some serious self care. I’m taking my 10×10 challenge not only as an opportunity to practice contentment with my closet, but also as an opportunity to be gentle with myself.
I’ve openly shared about my current journey with anxiety, and the thing I need most right now is a retreat of sorts. A retreat from the need to be perfect. A retreat from being hard on myself. A retreat from negative self talk. A retreat from my own harmfully high expectations.
So I’m pairing this 10 day wardrobe challenge with 10 days of self care.
No matter how the challenge goes, no matter how “successful” the outfits are, no matter what happens over the course of the next 10 days, I’m inviting in the good — kind affirmations, gratitude, compassion, a slower pace, and yes, even soft comfortable clothes that make me feel cocooned.
If you’re feeling the same, I’d love it if you’d join me. <3
MY 10 PIECES
I kept my intention close while picking my 10 pieces, and ended up with a collection of super cozy, super comfortable pieces. The weather in Texas is still a bit warm (our forecast looks like it’s going to be in the 60s-80s most of the time). So while I don’t really need a ton of sweaters and boots, I’m still channeling fall coziness through color, texture, and silhouette.
All in all, I included:
- 4 tops
- 2 bottoms
- 1 dress
- 3 pair of shoes
Here’s the complete line up:
LONG SLEEVE TEE (old from Madewell) / Similar / Similar in short sleeve
TANK by Everlane (made responsibly)
KNIT TOP by Madewell | Similar | Similar (made responsibly)
3-in-1 SWEATER gifted by Vetta Capsule (made responsibly, use discount code “unfancy” for 10% off)
KNIT MIDI DRESS gifted by Elizabeth Suzann
BLACK SHORTS by Madewell / Similar (under $15)
JEANS by Citizens of Humanity / Similar (under $70)
CLOGS gifted by Bryr (made responsibly) / Similar / Similar
MULES (old by Madewell, still available in other colors) / Similar
BIRKENSTOCKS / Also available with fleece lining
PLAN + START YOUR REMIX IN 25 MINUTES
Ready to try a 10×10 for yourself? Keep it easy and approach it as if you’re packing for a trip.
1 | CHECK THE WEATHER / 2 min
Hop online and look up the 10 day forecast. Jot down any quick notes.
Crazy weather? There’s no better chance to learn! Don’t have the classic “fall” weather? No problem. The 10×10 is all about rolling with the punches and dressing for your lifestyle, weather, and needs.
2 | NOTE YOUR DAILY ACTIVITIES / 3 min
Next, grab your calendar and make a note of any special activities you have coming up in the next 10 days.
Oh! And, just to be clear, life activities (gym, sleeping, etc) still call for work out wear and PJ/loungewear, so those will still go on in the background like usual.
3 | GATHER THE BASICS / 5 min
Gather two or three foundational pieces you know you’ll include, like jeans and your favorite pair of shoes.
At this point, it’s helpful to make a temporary space so you can see your 10 pieces as you’re pulling them together. You could use one side of your closet, a garment rack, or even your shower curtain rod.
4 | BUILD AND FINISH / 15 min
Begin to build on your foundation, pulling pieces you love to wear, while considering:
- WEATHER + LIFESTYLE. Go off the notes you made earlier, and be ruthless. You’ll enjoy this challenge so much more if you pick items that work with the weather and your lifestyle.
- COLOR PALETTE. Keep it minimal and neutral so you can easily mix and match. Ask yourself, what colors go with the basics you already pulled?
- PROPORTIONS. Pick shapes and silhouettes that work well together, like fitted tops with fuller bottoms or high rise bottoms with crop tops.
And finally, make any adjustments you need. Perhaps you’d rather not include shoes or outerwear this time. Perhaps you’d rather include 12 pieces instead of 10. Feel free to ditch the guidelines and make it your own.
And there you have it! The fall 10×10 is underway!
Are you joining in? Instagram your 10 pieces and tag ’em #fall10x10 so we can all follow along. And you can also use our ongoing hashtags — #unfancyremix and #stylebee10x10 and #10x10friends.
And finally, feel free to go at your own pace. You don’t have to stick with my schedule — you can start early or late, skip a day, take weekends off, or go for 10 days straight. Make it work for you.
Now I want to hear from you! We all have different reasons for doing this — what’s your motivation for joining this time? Do you have a particular intention in mind or are you going into this without any expectations? Share away in the comments!
See you on Instagram tomorrow for the first outfit! :)
xo,
YAY! I am right there with you babe. Self care, a slowed pace, and compassion are priorities right now. I love all the pieces you’ve chosen and cannot wait to see what you do with the ES Knit dress :) Lots of love! xo
YES! Came down to the comments to say I love the knit dress too!!! It’s just the kind of thing I want to go for. The style I’m going for is 90’s mom who was your mom’s European sophisticated friend and only wore MAC makeup (just powder and red lipstick!) and that is it!!!
Couldn’t handle wearing white/cream, though I know Caroline pulls cream and white off with no trouble. I’m too messy :-/ Sad they only have it in cream but I’m not shopping anyway and maybe my mom would knit me something similar (it kind of reminds me of this similar (longer) version in a 1940s pattern book that my mom has).
I also like those mules! They keep the shape and idea of mules without requiring you to clench your toes and without flopping off your feet and getting caught on the lip of stairs the way mules and slides typically do (the ongoing theme is that I’m clumsy and prefer to avoid hazards).
Nice tips on wardrobe changes thanks for sharing these awesome ideas on how to mix and match outfits https://beaulephoto.wordpress.com
I’m loving the relaxed approach to the 10×10 that you and Lee are both taking! The fall season is all about comfort and relaxing after the fullness of life in spring and summer, and I am so on board with that!
My main goal for my 10×10 is to inject some variety into my daily uniform of jeans + short sleeve tee that I have worn for about a whole month straight. I love uniforms, but I’m missing some of the sense of fun and style my wardrobe used to have before I started working from home, when I knew people would see me every day. But it’s crucial that I be able to add the style factor without losing any of the comfort factor. I’m so excited to put these outfits together and hopefully rediscover my love of dressing well for myself!
Anyone who wants to follow my 10×10 can do so on Instagram (I’d love to share what I have with you!): https://www.instagram.com/everydayjoys/
Awesome, Anna! So glad you’re joining us :)
Great selection! I really hope to join you guys this time. I’ve been following for long but never had the actual time to participate. I’ve been moving in between different cities this whole year and it has been a real wardrobe (and life) challenge..! I hope to share more with you on IG. Good luck! ;)
Yes! Please do, Astrid! :)
I like your color palette for this 10×10. Mine seems to be a lot of grays, but I may add a burnt orange which seems exciting, but totally out of my comfort zone. And I’m right there with you on wanting soft comfortable clothes that make me feel cocooned. ;)
Burnt orange is like a neutral for me in the sense it goes with anything in my wardrobe…but so is burgundy and mossy green. I think you can still mix and match even without traditional “neutrals” as long as you keep a color palate in mind :)
It’s always a pleasure whenever you post, I love your take on these challenges and am always inspired by what you put together (: Your blog is such a breath of fresh air! I will definitely be joining in with the purpose of practicing contentment with my own closet and dressing for myself, rather than how I feel I should be dressing. Easier said than done but I’m excited for the challenge. All the best to you!
You have no idea how nice that is to hear. Thank you, Andrea :)
This is lovely as usual Caroline. I am sorry about the anxiety but love your self care plan. It’s fantastic and will work. I suffer from bad anxiety too so I feel for you. But want you to know how much I love your blog. I still keep a capsule and it’s been a real game changer for me so I’m grateful to you for turning me onto the concept. I was just thinking that recently actually. I do three pretty strict capsules a year. I live in a suburb of Chicago with my husband and our border collie and have a work/lifestyle similar to yours although I’m a lot older, (57). Hang in there❤️?
Thank you for the kind words, Denise! :)
I could just sit and stare at your 10 x 10, especially the way you curated and presented it in your post. I hope it provides as much zen to you as it does to me. Cheers, Ardith
Love this! I’m not sure I will be participating this year but I love seeing the outfits you come up with. Quick question, what software do you use to create your graphics like the one above and your capsules in the past?
Hey Cara, I use photoshop :)
Just celebrated another birthday, YEA!! I love getting older, it certainly beats the alternative. Need something fresh to start my new birth year. This is just the ticket. Because I am a real estate appraiser I wear jeans and tops with a blazer or long sweater all the time, its my uniform. Having lost 25 lbs over the summer I have a new wardrobe, thank God for Poshmark…but that’s another story. Will let you know how it goes. See you on Instagram.
Woohoo! Enjoy it, Beth :)
I absolutely love your approach to this 10×10 and I think it’s a great reminder for all of us. Slow down, take care of ourselves, and embrace where we’re at. My approach was to select some items I still struggle with styling to give myself more practice with these items. I am so excited to meet and connect with new and old #10x10friends!
Have a great weekend,
Paige
Your goals sound great! Let’s do this :)
I love your color palette and your ‘easy’ philosophy, that’s genius! And so good! And also, so relaxing.
I am excited to see how you mix in those Birks! Have a great weekend!
xo
Can’t wait to see how you put these pieces to use. Love the color dots! We do that on our site all the time with paint colors inspired by food. Yours look perfect together!
I love the idea of keeping it comfy and cosy! It sounds like just the right thing to take care of yourself and spend some time cocooning. Can’t wait to see how it comes together!
Should be fun :) Thanks, Karen!
I’d love to take part in the Fall 10×10 challenge, I really loved following the challenge throughout summer and I think your ethos of self-care for this one is spot on with my intentions for Fall too.
Abigail Alice x
I love the idea of self care. I find at the moment, I haven’t even been that bothered about buying new clothes. Perhaps because I have a working capsule already, and am enjoying my old autumn favourites, also life has been so hectic other things have taken priority. So, the compassion, gratitude and slower pace are really resonating with me.
That’s so awesome, Tanya! I’m so glad you have found some contentment with your current wardrobe. :)
I want a o prove to myself that I am capable of doing this. I’ve been Decluttering my house and want to also declutter my wardrobe. I enjoy living with less.
It feels good, doesn’t it?! Hope you’ll join us. :)
I’m glad you’re spending time and effort caring for yourself – it’s sometimes easy to get too-settled into anxiety that you can’t shake those feelings. It takes effort to be well, but it’s worth it.
I’m joining in this time around with my workwear. I usually feel less like myself when dressing for the office, so I’m looking forward to shaking things up a bit.
Great idea, Krystal! :)
I feel like this is a freat challenge for someone like me that has a closet expoding with clothes. It would be a great opportunity to really look at the clothes I own, and really understand what my style is.
Hi! Do you remember which color your clogs are? I just ordered a bunch of swatches from Bryr to make sure I get the right color to match the palette of my clothes. Thanks!
Hey Marisa, these are the bone nubuck. :)
We all need self care, don’t we? Great post, as always!
I love how you’re taking this as an opportunity to be a retreat. This cosy season is usually the time where I pause and start thinking about myself again so yes, I think I’ll join you in this. Already loving all the outfits + stories that are coming in through the hashtag and feel very excited to start today with my own 10×10!
– X Marloes
Awesome! Excited to have you on board. :)
Hey Caroline – would you consider posting a picture of your outfit each day to the blog? I love your blog and I love seeing your 10×10 but I’m totally out of touch when it comes to social media…I know, I know. No need for words or explanation just a pic or two for those of us who aren’t tech savvy ?
Hey Christy, I’ll do a wrap-up at the end of the 10 days so you can see the looks. :)
I’m just about to do my first proper 10×10 challenge except it’s spring here in Australia. I adore your picks and can’t wait to see how you style everything ! My intention was that it would stop me shopping as well as making it faster to get ready in the morning!
I love your style, your colors, and your goals with this challenge, Caroline. That amazing convertible sweater is sold out at Vetta. Do you know of another similar?
Hey Kelly! I know Madewell had a detachable turtleneck sweater last year (if you can find one secondhand). But it was not a cardigan. I also think if you try on some boxy cardigans, you may be able to find one that would work forward and backward. Just a thought! And keep in mind that Vetta may restock in the future. Good luck on the hunt. :)
Love it <3 -Daria

I love that you’re taking a more relaxed approach. I’m letting myself off the hook as far as trying to create versatile looks this time around–I just want easy looks. And if they seem redundant…then, hey, it must mean it’s a good formula for me! Thanks so much for hosting and sharing! Can’t wait to see all your outfits.
I am loving your idea of integrating self-care with the challenge! I won’t be posting because I’m not a very public person. But I want to do this challenge + self-care mindset + with the intention of learning something about what inspires me to choose the clothes that I choose. If I don’t think too much of others’ expectations, I think I can learn something about myself!
I’m also going through a difficult emotional journey. Anxiety. Social anxiety, mainly. But it’s getting better, because I’m making myself do the things I’m afraid of. Which also causes a ton of anxiety right now!! Seems these days people just share their stuff, so I’m jumping on the train! LOL we’ll get through, both of us. If there’s a will there’s a way. I don’t know if it’s a comfort but I’m praying for you.
I love + appreciate your blog. I love style and capsule-ish wardrobing, and granted there are tons of style blogs out there and tons of inspiration blogs too, but somehow you’ve been both in one! You’re awesome. Nothing’s perfect, but I love good things and I love your blog. Keep being you and making the world that much better!
Caroline, I have grown to really love the 10×10 challenge thanks to you and Lee! I join in for the creative challenge and to figure out what styles make me feel most like myself. Finding inspiration and interacting with such a warm, encouraging community is just icing on the cake! I hope this 10×10 lifts you up and gives you nothing but good vibes. :)
Hi Caroline!
I’m trying to plan holiday party outfits for the next couple of months. But it’s so hard for me to make it without buying anything… Could you share some thoughts on mindful minimalist party outfits? Like, would you wear only black dresses and get different accessories? I would love to have your opinion on this subject!
Thank you for all those beautiful articles you post! I’m a big fan of your blog. :)
Hey Mariana! I did write a post for casual holiday gatherings (bit.ly/2yb6hQ8) and you can also see my thoughts on a special occasion capsule (bit.ly/2tDZBWT).
Let me know if you have any other questions! :)
I am so feeling that Madewell mules. Too bad they are not ideal for the wet weather we have up north here. I am loving the idea of self-care! We impose so much unnecessary stress onto ourselves and gotta remember to take a breath from time to time!!

I love the 10×10 challenges. Since spring I have been doing one almost every month. It really helps me focus my style and wardrobe. I don’t get out much so the 10×10 lasts me majority of the month. Sometimes I go for my favorites, other times I branch out with pieces I wear less often. They are a lot of fun and a great learning experience. I was actually halfway through my 10×10 when you guys decided to start your fall 10×10. I am already almost done but am thinking about doing another one this month with a halloween theme. Fall is the season where I have the most clothes and I am hoping the 10x10s will help me lean out my capsule a bit. So excited to see everyone else’s outfits. Thank you for doing this challenge!
I find my approach to capsules is to obsess over an item or two on your list and add them to my existing pieces! Lol. We have a similar style and build so it’s like you’re my personal shopper! ? Would you mind sharing how you went with sizing on the black sweater? I realize it’s out of stock currently but I’d like to order when it’s back in.
Sure! I went with my usual XS and it fits oversized (like it’s meant to). I would take your usual size or size down if you’re in between sizes. Then you’ll get that perfect slouchy fit! :)
Hi Caroline,
I have been reading your blog for about a year now – after also realizing I was spending more money and time on clothing but still feeling like I had nothing to wear or had to rush out days before a big event or trip to buy more pieces. So, my question. After trying to adapt to the more minimalist wardrobe and keeping only my favorite staples – I find myself now completely opposite were I fear and regret clothing purchases. Sort of a guilt feeling even though I know that each season it is reasonable to need a few new pieces. I tend to now buy higher end pieces that I truly love – but feel so much guilt on spending – feeling like I should have just tried to find something to use that I already own. Do you ever go through this? Any advice? Thank you and keep up the wonderful and real writing!
I have been lucky to find high end pieces at thrift stores for pennies on the dollar. I already have a closet of about 60 items in all that I love, fit me, fit my style and receive complements from regularly, I couldn’t wish on myself to limit myself to ten items for ten days. I would have to do laundry for the tops during the week. Since I don’t have others’ clothes to launder, it’s a waste to just wash such a small number of items. Thanks :)
Hey Caroline! (Or others) I have a question. I have a very similar light-weight, knit, white sweater which I LOVE but…I’m struggling with what to wear under it. It’s so sheer that it doesn’t really leave much to the imagination.
Any ideas?
Hey Erin, I usually just wear a nude bra, but a light, fitted camisole/tank might work too! :)
I’m so happy you’re posting again, Caroline! :) Of course, take all the time you need — you’ve got greater readers that will stick with you through thick and thin. I just started my first capsule wardrobe/lean closet hybrid and I’m ecstatic about it. Thank you for being so open about your ever-changing experiences with it.
Love this 10×10 capsule! I’m going to try and make a fall capsule because I’m one of those people with a huge wardrobe with nothing to wear. Just wondering if you are going to make a Fall 2017 capsule wardrobe? I’m looking for all the inspiration I can get.
This is such a great idea! I think I might have to try it out

Trying this out this week, while 8 months pregnant! Can’t wait to see how it goes :)
Hi!
I was just wondering.. What is your size in Citizens Of Humanity jeans? And are they true to size? :)
Love your blog!
I am a diie-hard thrifter & find great things at thrift and get overwhelmed with what to wear. I want To try the challenge to get a consistent wardrobe that I know and love and that will work (comfort, style) for me. I’m excited to do this it’s a wonderful activity and will help me in many ways.
Found your blog and 10×10 challenge on Becoming Minimalist newsletter. I love the idea of the challenge and the pieces chosen from your wardrobe. Can you suggest a similar blog for older women? I’m 65 and most of your ideas seem geared toward younger women. I don’t own similar items and really don’t want to purchase more clothes at this point. Id like to learn how to use what I have.
I am definitely feeling the same, it is a hard cycle to break, especially the negative thoughts. I love the idea of inviting in the good, that’s such a nice way of putting it! I am going to give the challenge a go too, much love x
I have done the 6 item wardrobe for a month before now and surprised myself by loving it and coping surprisingly well. However, I do like all the clothes now in my wardrobe (vastly decluttered, I hasten to add and not a huge amount!) and wouldn’t want to restrict myself to that extent permanently.
I also love the 10×10 idea and I love packing for a trip, which I seem to be fairly successful with – I do exactly as you suggest, check out the weather and activities for the duration of the trip and pack accordingly…
While reading this I had a slightly head-slapping moment: why don’t we just take time out once a week like sensible women to plan just 7 days ahead, pick out a few items to combine in old or new ways and go with that? Seven days later, pick out a different “wardrobe for the week”. Duh. The actual number is irrelevant – 7, 10, 12, whatever.
Seems to me that would be a happy medium – at least in an ideal world lol!!
Caroline, you may want to consider reading “The Four Tendencies.” It has helped me tremendously, and from some of the comments you’ve made in your blog before, it sounds like it might be right up your alley…
This is just the little shot of inspiration I needed to get started on a capsule wardrobe! Call me old and boring, but this will be my big excitement for a Friday night. 10×10. Love it.
Amy
This is absolutely wonderful! My goal is to get this started tomorrow. I live in Phoenix, so we most definitely don’t have a typical fall season; we will be in the 80’s all week! Part of me is thankful for the cool down, but the other part of me dreams of autumn. Thanks for pointing me to reality! :) I love the simplicity of this, and that you’re also including self-care. May you feel loved and cared for this fall, friend. Blessings to you!
Beth – I just moved from Phoenix! I have to say, missing the winter weather. :) How did your experiment start? I keep pondering and wondering if I can manage a whole 10×10 with yoga pants? :)
Found your blog really Interesting..Good Job..

I love your blog and your kindness, and I hope so much you are fine <3 Kisses from France.
Absolutely loooove this idea, what a fun way to find out what you really value in your wardrobe. I always love all the clothes I pack on holiday and I feel like by doing this a few times I could really work out what I didn’t need any more. Thanks for the inspiration.

Your posts are missed. That is all. <3
I’m also checking in. Hope and pray all is well, Caroline.
It’s been a while without a new post, although I keep checking every day and looking forward seeing a new one! I hope everything is ok with you and you will be back soon!
Thinking of you and praying for peace. Miss your posts!
Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you and praying for you. :-)
Missing you, Caroline. xo
Hi Caroline! Just wanted to comment and say that your posts and perspective, and I hope everything is ok with you and your family!
Hi Caroline,
Long-time reader, first-time writer here. I love your posts and your thoughtful approach to all things.
I am (also?) from small town south, moved to Europe in my mid-20s and am now married, living in the UK with my husband (I’m 31 now). I like to say I grew up a second time when I moved away, encountered by a wealth of lived experiences that were so different from my own – and yet just as valid. I think perhaps I am in another phase of ‘growing pains’ in recent months. Watching the events of the last year in the US from abroad – and hearing very uncharacteristically divisive and insensitive reactions from loved ones – has become a heavy weight that I can physically feel some days, coupled with an anxiety that clouds any interaction with the ‘folks back home’.
I’m sure our situations are incredibly different, but I’ve had a nagging feeling that we may be – in some sense – kindred spirits in this season, and I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know there are many of us, and that you’re not alone; whatever your weight may be, it is shared by many. You have a lot of support on here, myself included, so please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Wishing you the best from London,
June xx
Please come back! You are Missed!
Just checking in on you, Caroline. I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving with your family and that all is well. Miss your posts! <3
This is my first time writing here, but I hope all is well with you Caroline. You are certainly missed, but I hope you are finding the time to care for yourself and nurture your relationships. Much love to you!
Wanted to add my love here, too. We’re all thinking of you and wishing you a steady recovery.
First time writing here too. Hope you to be well and wish you the best of love, happines and everything good in the world!
Kisses from Brazil!
Yep, you have readers here too!
Miss you ;*
Sending love and best wishes for you and your family. You are missed!
Happy holidays, Caroline! I miss your blog posts but hope you’re having a restful, wonderful holiday season with loved ones.
We miss you! I sincerely hope all is well with you.
Just wishing you all the best. We miss you!
Hi Caroline I hope you’re okay! Best wishes from the Netherlands. xx
Just discovered your blog. I needed a closet cleanout badly. I started and stopped about a dozen times as I got overwhelmed and frustrated. You should see my closet now! Amazing! 37 pieces for winter. Other seasons are in storage and many more items are listed for sale on ebay. Thanks so much!
Hey Caroline, I hope you’ve had a wonderful and restful holiday with your loved ones and that all is well. Sending my love from UK!
I love your blog/message so much – it has helped me make a dramatic change in my purchasing habits and overall wardrobe. So excited for new posts to come in 2018 <3.
Hi Caroline, have missed you and hope you’re doing well. All the best!
I have been binge-reading your blog over the last week, as I just found it. I have been in a limbo with my wardrobe, lacking direction and seriously unsure of what to do. And I have been surprised to find how much it actually affects your psyche if you are not comfortable with your warderobe. I don’t shop much, but still need new clothes now and then. I prefer to buy good quality (and that usually means expensive) clothes, that will last me a while. But that makes each buy hard, as I need to be sure that I will like it. And it means I can’t have that much stuff in my wardrobe, as I can’t afford to shop much. That has made me feel like my wardrobe is boring, and I have felt bad for wearing the same sweater twice a week, for instance even though I seriously love that sweater!) But then I found this blog. And I just felt it all click. It IS ok to not have new, exciting outfits every day. It IS ok to reach for the same sweater several times a week. And I can easily change it up by wearing different jeans, for instance. I have learnt so much by reading your blog, and will probably go back over it again and again. It is not so much about your outfits, as about the philosophy behind it. You have made me realize you can look great even with a limited amount of clothes, and little variation. And that is just perfect for me, my lifestyle and my style! My wardrobe has been cleared out, and is getting a redo. I will try to look at all my clothes in a new way, and I already feel so much more happy, excited but also content and comfortable with it! So thank you Caroline, for showing us a way to deal with warderobes without the crazy approach to shopping we see way too often!
I hope you will be back on your blog soon, partly for selfish reasons as I already miss your blog, but mostly for your own sake as I hope you blogging again will mean that you are feeling a bit better. But either way, know that you via your blog genuinely help people feel better about themselves. Thank you!
Miss you and hope you’re well! Take your time, we’ll be here whenever, or if you ever, feel it’s right to come back.
Sending my love xx
Girl… Your posts are missed. I love your blog. I’ve been doing all this reading in minimalism and I love your style. Please come out of hiding.

We miss you! I hope this hiatus from the blog has been restful and peaceful for you. Still following your Instagram and hoping you’ve been well these last few months.
