Haaaaappy summer! My favorite season is officially here.
When summer hits, my whole being relaxes, releases, and just feels at peace. And after a personally turbulent + emotional spring, I’m welcoming that feeling with open arms. Wide open arms! Give me all the pool days, yard games, and snow cones. :)
So to welcome summer, today we’re talking summer skin care and makeup. My whole routine changes significantly during the hot months — the makeup gets lighter and easier, and the skin care gets more nourishing and hydrating.
So let’s get down to it! Today we’ll chat:
- My summer skin care routine (every product is clean — no harmful chemicals, yay!)
- My fuss-free makeup routine (four quick products and no blending tools required)
- Plus a few extra goodies, like natural self-tanner and aluminum-free deodorant
Before we jump in, I want to let you know that this is not a sponsored post — but prepare yourself for some serious raving all the same. I love these products. Over the past year, I’ve been finding and trying different clean products — weeding through the not-so-great ones and finding the keepers. So I’m definitely rave-y in this post, and excited to share my findings with you.
MY SUMMER SKIN CARE ROUTINE
STEP 1 | Osmia Organics Black Clay Facial Soap | I’d been using makeup wipes as a cleanser when I switched over to this soap. And what a difference it made! Right after I used it for the first time, my skin was immediately soft — like, softer than it’s ever been. It’s good for sensitive skin, but I will tell you that I went through an adjustment period with it — my face broke out more than usual for about a week. But smooth sailing ever since.
STEP 2 | Khus + Khus Detox Hydrolat | I was skeptical at first. Spritzing infused water on my face, really? But now I get it. Not only does this stuff moisturize and hydrate, it also calms + purifies the skin and minimizes wrinkles by plumping the cells. You can even use it as aromatherapy to calm the central nervous system — that’s what I love most about it. It’s become such a soothing ritual.
STEP 3 | Khus + Khus Detox Serum | This clean serum is full of nutrients and serves as an antiseptic, astringent, and healing tonic — it even has cellular regenerative properties. Crazy, I know, but my skin is loving it. Plus a little goes a long way — I’ve used it daily for four months and I still have at least half the bottle left.
STEP 4 | Biossance Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer | Another clean product, this moisturizer is the newest addition to my lineup, and I’m thrilled with it. It promised to reduce redness (which I’m prone to, especially in the summer) and I’m happy to say I see a noticeable difference already.
MY FUSS-FREE MAKEUP ROUTINE
STEP 1 | Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC Cream in Natural Glow (gifted to me) | Meet the gold standard in quick + easy makeup. This stuff is so easy to blend, I hardly even have to use a mirror — and definitely no sponges or blending tools needed. It’s got a light coverage — less than foundation but still enough to even out skin tone. Bonus: built in SPF. Double bonus: it’s rated low hazard on the EWG scale.
STEP 2 | Maya Chia Highlight of the Day in Golden Hour | Hello radiance in a bottle (and hello clean, healthy ingredients). Dab a drop or two on your upper cheekbones or anywhere you need a little extra glow. You can even apply it near the inner corners of your eyes to brighten + wake them up. It comes in three different shades — I got Golden Hour and it gives off that lit from within look.
STEP 3 | French Girl Mineral Lip Tint in Sonali (gifted to me) | Kristeen, the founder of French Girl Organics, started her line on Etsy in 2010, and has been steadily gaining a cult following since. This 92% organic tube provides stunning color, but it’s essentially a lip balm — so no worries about applying it just so. It’s sheer and fresh.
STEP 4 | Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Brown | I’ve loved this stuff for years. It’s the most natural looking brow pencil I’ve found and it stays put. I wear it every day — even when the rest of my face is going makeup-free.
OPTIONAL | Lash Extensions | If you want lush lashes but don’t want to mess with makeup over the summer, you may want to try lash extensions. I had ’em for a solid 6 months and loved them. I didn’t use an ounce of eyeliner or mascara the whole time — so no raccoon eyes either, hooray! Just recently, I stopped getting them to give my wallet a break, but I may start again in the fall. P.S. After growing out my extensions, my natural lashes are still happy and healthy — no damage done.
EXTRA GOODIES
Beauty by Earth Self Tanner | I’m a little too lazy to use self tanner right now, but I used this stuff all the time last summer. As far as self-tanners go, it’s one of the healthiest options out there. It goes on easily, it’s buildable, and the color is spot on — it’s a sheer bronze, not orange.
Maya Chia Revitalizing Body Oil | Skin feeling a little beat up by the sun + heat? Here’s your new bestie. This clean body oil is essentially a superfood for your skin, with grape seed, supercritical chia, and pumpkin seed oil. It’s an excellent source of essential fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins for summer-worn skin.
Freedom Deodorant | The struggle is real — finding a natural deodorant that works is tough. But after trying 10 or so different options, I finally found an aluminum-free deodorant that works for me. I use the unscented stick, but the Bergamot-Mint smells heavenly if you like a scented deodorant. Since it’s not an antiperspirant, I still sweat but I don’t get smelly — even on triple digit days!
Sally Hanson Nail Polish in Poof! Be-gonia | Definitively not a natural or clean product, but this is my favorite shade to wear on my toes in the summer. Currently wearing it right now. :)

And there you have it!
So tell me, what’s your skin care + makeup routine in the summer? Got any clean products to add to this list? And I’m so curious — do you feel that summer ease kicking in, too? Share away in the comments!
See you next Thursday! :)
xo,
P.S. A few of you have been asking if I’ll be doing a 10×10 challenge for the summer — YES! I’m teaming up with my dear friend (and the original 10×10 creator) Lee of Style Bee to host the summer 10×10 challenge. It’s happening in July — more details coming soon. :)
Summer is finally here in Chicago too. My current skin care routine is from Paula’s choice: Hydralight One-Step cleanser and 2% BHA gel twice a day, Skin Balancing Ultra-Sheer Daily Defense SPF30 in the morning and Skin Balancing Super Antioxidant Serum with retinol at night. My makeup routine is also just four products: Neutrogena Healthy Skin Glow Sheers SPF30 just on my nose, cheeks and around my eyes, paula’s Choice Endless Last Mascara, L’Oreal True Match Blush in Tender Rose and Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick in Rich Raisin. Will you be doing a Summer capsule, Caroline?
Hi Carol! YES! Summer update coming soon. :)
Hi Caroline. So glad you posted this! I love seeing others skincare and makeup routines. One thing I did notice was missing is a SPF. Yes, there is SPF in the CC cream, but unless you’re putting 1/4 tsp of that every time you’re using it, you’re not using enough SPF to adequately keep your skin safe. Do you have an SPF in rotation and just didn’t mention it? If not, please consider hunting for one. Thanks!
There is an argument out there that Sunscreen is not as safe or protecting as we think. Personally I opt for shade or a hat or more skin coverage before I go with sunscreen. Sunscreens block the absorption of Vitamin D, in which many of people are deficient. Sunscreens also contain A LOT of chemicals.
A healthy diet can also naturally make you more resistant to sunburn.
Please consider more research on this topic!
The sun is the #1 cause of premature aging and I wouldn’t think of not applying SPF30 to my face and neck each morning year round. Fortunately, I have a bizarre condition where I store too much Vitamin D, so I don’t have to worry about a deficiency. :)
And I can’t believe I mentioned premature aging without mentioning skin cancer, which is far more life-threatening. The sun should come with a surgeon general’s warning.
Amen, Lisa T and Carol!! The Surgeon General’s warning could be this statistic: One person dies of melanoma every hour.
If you’re concerned sunscreen is preventing you from getting enough Vitamin D read this:
http://www.skincancer.org/healthy-lifestyle/vitamin-d/damage
You are ahead of your time! We, hmmm, over 50 gals have basically the same make up and skin care products. Less is so much better as we age to keep us looking fresh and not all cake like. I use a BB cream that is foolproof and get compliments all the time about how good I look with “no” makeup…works for me! So your closet and your make up bag are trim, neat and just perfect for you. We need to do a guest post about how you have mastered our design philosophy in so many ways. Bravo!-Laurel
hi! also an over 50 girl and would love to know which BB cream you use! thanks!
Hey Caroline! What order do you apply all of those different face products in?
Hey Rachael, I put them on the same order as listed. :)
I love this! Great products!
I hope you’re having a great Thursday,
Michael

Wow, what a great post, I always like seeing what others use. I recently switched out most of my daily makeup to more natural kinds with low EWG ratings, so I love to see what others are using. I use La Roche tinted sunscreen, Mineral Fusion powder and blush, and a locally made natural lip tint. I’m still on the hunt for a mascara and brow pencil that is more natural, but works, so I’m still using Maybelline. I’ve wanted to try last extensions, but the cost is prohibitive. My skin care is all from Skin Script out of Tempe. My aunt in the owner/creator. I also make my own body lotion. ?
I would love to find a good shampoo with low EWG ratings. I’ve tried Acure and loved the scent and my hair looked ok, but after a few washes my scalp was itchy, something that has never happened before. So the search continues…..
I’m still searching for a natural deodorant that works. I use Tom’s which works ok, but not the greatest in the summer.
I use Native deodorant and I love it! I like that they are so confident in their product they even offer free returns if you don’t like it. Did you do an armpit detox before you switched to aluminum free? You might need to get the buildup out of your body before you switch. I used this one and it worked great and felt amazing. I hardly even sweat anymore, which wasn’t true before I switched.
https://wellnessmama.com/25432/detox-your-armpits/
oh and my favorite shampoo is by giovanni, Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo. it’s similar to one a hair stylist recommended to me, but without all the sulfates. I don’t know about the EWG ratings, but I use the Think Dirty app and they rated it low (which is good).
Love Native! I’ve been using it for 2 years and also hardly sweat anymore.
Try 100% pure shampoos! I’m obsessed and have used the burdock and neem one for over a year!
Hi Rebecca, I had the same experience with the Acure shampoo. In fact, I did not have a good experience with any of the Acure products I tried. With my sensitive skin and hair/scalp, I’ve had to go in a different direction with products in general–as most earth-friendly products I can afford to buy have not worked for me.
My hair and scalp only seem to like the Bain de Terre shampoos and conditioners.
So far, the only “kinder” product that works for me is the Yes to Blueberries foaming face cleanser. It works so well that I’m going to try their face moisturizer (as I’d love to find an alternative to the Aquaphor ointment I have to use on my very dry skin).
I wish I had a budget to allow for more product testing. But then again, my finicky skin is just now recovering from my 1.5 year Sephora sampling fixation. It’s taken over two years to recover from that testing extravaganza.
Hi Rebecca! I just started using the Think Dirty app (free!) to check the toxicity of my beauty products and to hunt for safer ones…check it out! I just ordered a SheaMoisture brand shampoo that is safe. I use coconut oil and sprinkles of baking soda for deodorant.
I’ve been using PureAnada mascara for a few months now and love it! I think it’s the best mascara I’ve bought in a loooong time, and my eyes are grateful that it’s natural!
I’ll second the rec for Shea moisture hair products – I’ve liked everything I’ve tried from them, and they’re not crazy expensive. I’ve been using shampoo & conditioner from Function of Beauty for a few months now and absolutely love it – a bit pricier but worth it for me.
Awesome! Love JuiceBeauty makeup. I got the cream blush and the shadow sticks to try.
Do you still use the Trilane Moisturizer, I’m curious to try it!!
I’ve started breaking out this summer so I’m using the Neutrogena Light Acne Mask – it has been working so far to keep zits away! I blogged a little about it here; I look like a member of Daft Punk wearing it: http://theactorsdiet.com/2017/06/13/june-favorites/
I love this post! I’m all about finding natural products that work. I started using aluminum free deodorant last month, I use Native and I love it. I subscribed to Causebox this year, and just got a detox mask by KALOS this week, and it is amazing. I might have to check out your moisturizer. I’ve been a Burt’s bees girl for years, but they’ve been changing their ingredients since they were sold to a new company :(
My main problem with finding face products is that I have a soy allergy, because even natural lines will still include soy in their products.
I’ve never been a huge makeup person, but I recently found Everyday Minerals and use their foundation when I do where make up. If I want to look like I’m wearing make up I’ll just put on mascara, cause there’s something about wearing make up that makes people think you “tried harder” to look good.
I love Native also! Excellent customer service. Have you ever tried Beautycounter? I’ve been using for almost 3 years and it’s a safe effective line. Look them up on the EWG! If you want to know more I rep the brand as well :)
I’ve been curious about natural deodorant, but am nervous to take the plunge! I have to use the bad stuff here in Florida, but maybe once summer is over I can give it a shot!
Ok, I’m so curious – I switched to Native deodorant last year partly because I read amazing reviews about it, and partly because I wanted to see if it, as a natural product, would stop ruining the underarms of my sleeveless tops. I don’t even sweat much (it’s a weird family trait – my mom basically doesn’t sweat at all, she just turns red), so I’m positive I’m not dealing with sweat stains. Unfortunately, now that it’s summer, I can officially say that I’m still getting greasy, rubbed-in deodorant stains on my sleeveless tops, and I’m over it.
Did you try Native? Does the Freedom deodorant save your clothes? Do you still deal with sweat stains?
I spent an hour or so last night trying to save my two favorite tank tops with baking soda and vinegar, but so far I don’t think it made a difference. Obviously I am a broken woman in desperate need of help! :P
https://everydayjoys.blog/
i don’t wear deo often, but when i do, it’s Native and i haven’t had any issues with my tops. my bff uses it everyday and she has not had an issue with stains either.
I have a “moderate to severe” case of hyperhydrosis so literally nothing can prevent sweating. I used to get those stains on shirts but since I stopped using secret, dove, degree, etc a few years ago and found Earth Science in the light Lichen scent, I haven’t had any ruined shirts nor smell (meaning it still smells fresh). It’s worth a try and in TX I found it at Sprouts and Central Market groceries. It’s like $6 but the one stick lasts me almost a year.
Hey Anna, Unfortunately, I do still deal with sweat stains. Definitely need to get that sorted out!
That’s sad, but thanks for letting me know!
Fascinating! It sounds like you’ve put a lot of work into finding exactly the right products. The sum total sounds fabulous–but way out of my price range! Maybe one day, when my ship comes in… :-)
In the meantime, I make my own deodorant with coconut oil and various powders, including kaolin & a smidgen of baking soda. I also use baking soda as a light scrub about twice a week, and Dr. Bronner’s soap to remove makeup. Recently I began playing around with witch hazel & lavender EO as well.
My one rave is pure, organic rose hip oil. My skin tends to be oily, and this moisturizes without leaving residue–even in an Alabama summer. Just a drop or two is all I need. I use it on my face, neck, throat, and around my eyes. My skin is softer, more even, & more healthy. For nearly a year, I had been battling a light, itchy rash that kept returning around my eyes. As soon as I started using rose hip oil, it went away and has never returned.
I use Agent Nateur Holi(stick) deodorant. It’s all natural and doesn’t stain my shifts like Tom’s sadly did.
I use maybe one swipe under each arm. This stuff has lasting power and for the price it’s worth it because I only need to order it once a year. For the price that’s definitely worth it!
Great products! For the deodorant, I found one from Blue Lavande which is a lavender farm in Quebec Canada they sell creams and great products which I’m in love with. It works great https://bleulavande.com/en/product/roll-on-deodorant-60-ml/ and it’s 100% natural and aluminum free and never tested on animals :)
I must try the one you’ve suggested! I’m always on the hunt for good natural products.
Thank you, Caroline! I have also been trying to wade through all of the beauty products on the market to find the best in healthy beauty! I added some things to my wish list after reading your post! I also posted about healthy beauty recently – maybe you will find a few more favorites! :) http://www.fleurdestlouis.com/2017/06/wellness-wednesday-n6-la-bonne-beaute.html
I keep trying to update my skincare routine to make it one that I’m super excited about. Definitely going to give your products a try, especially that cleansing bar!
http://www.madsmuses.com
Try Little Ondine nail polish… non toxic and it peels off so no nasty polish remover!
perfect timing!
I am sooo fed up of wearing makeup in this weather! it’s just too hot!

good morning caroline. thank you for always sharing what works for you. love that you’re conscientious about what goes on your body. ;)
would you mind sharing a photo of the highlight on you?
also, not sure if you’ve come across the zero-waste path yet? seems like it would be something of interest to you considering your minimalist lifestyle and interest in sustainable and ethical fashion.
the idea is to avoid anymore trash going into landfills. in terms of beauty products, it’s avoiding plastic and other unnecessary packaging when possible (and toxic/synthetic ingredients), since plastic and synthetic ingredients are harmful to the environment and mother earth. plastic takes 400-500 to break down!
just wanted to put this on your radar if it’s interest you to explore. :)
i’ve just start exploring this lifestyle. i’m currently learning how to grocery shop zero-waste. which means learning how to avoid products in plastic and packaging whenever possible. this looks like bringing my own bags, including produce bags and shopping in the bulk section with my own containers. also, in fashion, trying to buy items secondhand and avoiding synthetic material when possible.
it’s definitely been a challenge to change the way i think and live, but it’s rewarding to know i’m making a small difference.

Hi Caroline!
I am really enjoying your lifestyle posts! Would you mind sharing your skin type? I’m just wondering if any of the face care products you use would work for my dry, sensitive, rosacea prone skin. Thank you!
Elizabeth
Hey Elizabeth, I have combination skin. Prone to redness and small breakouts too.
Hi Caroline, this is a great post and I am enjoying looking into the products you use. Could you perhaps tell us a bit about your skin and any challenges you have with it? It helps put the products you use in perspective. Thanks so much, Ardith
Hey Ardith, I have combination skin that’s prone to redness and small breakouts.
I don’t think I could love this post more! This was perfect timing, and also amazing recommendations. I learned a few new “clean” product lines I hadn’t heard of before, like Khus+Khus, and BONUS, it’s affordable. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I too get a little red, or have a flushed undertone, so I dislike going foundation free, but I do anyway, so to have a few possible alternatives that feel light on the skin and do just enough to even out the skin tone is great.
Hi Caroline – would love to hear what kind of shampoo/conditioner you use! Thanks!
Hey Sarah, right now I’m just using Tresemme Naturals — it’s inexpensive and my hubby shares it with me. :)
Tresemme is a good product and there are lots of good shampoos/conditioners at the drugstore. I use Garnier Fructise Triple Nutrition and I’m very happy with it.
Love this routine! I’m always hunting for better, cleaner options for my dry/breakout-prone skin :) Currently I’m using Arcona’s Magic Dry Ice, which is ok but probably not worth the price tag for me. Then I layer on Andalou Naturals DIY Booster SPF 30, which I like a lot (another great sunscreen to try would be Devita’s). I use a ZuzuLuxe pencil for brows and my other makeup is primarily from Silk Naturals. At night I use either Badger Balm’s Damascus Rose Beauty Balm if my skin feels dry or the amazing Quench moisturizer from Yoshimomo, which is so light and lovely. Now off to check out your recommendations! :)
Quick question: Did you look into the safety of the lash extensions in terms of whatever chemicals they use for the glue?
I had them done years ago and LOVED the result. Since then I have moved towards more natural skin care and makeup and I sincerely don’t know about whether there are any concerns about the lash extensions. If you have done some of that home work it could spare me and some of the readers a jump into the dark web to research it :)
Hey Maria, unfortunately, there are some concerns out there with the extension glue. I thought this blog had some good tips for finding the least toxic glue: http://bit.ly/2skq6ji :)
The Ordinary products are AMAZING. Just started using them and all of my skin issues have disappeared. Also, 100% organic rosehip oil at night is fantastic for evening out skin tone and hydrating without being greasy!
i don’t wear make up and i’ve been using true botanicals’ CLEAR line since sept 2016. it’s expensive and i’ve been researching something that’s comparable but a little nicer on the wallet.
Mine’s sounds a little much but it worth it. In the morning, Botanics micellar water to clean face. Toner, serum, moisturizer and sunscreen to follow. (Still finding that right company so I use several.) Waterproof mascara from Neutrogena; I work in a greenhouse, hence the waterproof. Rosewater for a pick up in the day. Night time, coconut oil to remove mascara, micellar water to clean face. Then a mix of vit E, rosehip and argan oils for my face, neck and upper chest.
I just discovered Botanics, so I do not have an opinion formed, yet.
Great picks! I love summer skincare! It’s so easy and your skin naturally glows!
Be sure to check out my latest blog post!

I’ve been slowly trying to go the natural route with my beauty routine. I recently switched to Schmidt’s Natural Deodorant which I got at Target and so far I like it! I think I’m going to try that CC cream you recommended now!
OMG, this Maya highlighter sounds amazing, I need it <3

Hi Caroline! Have you ever checked out Pacifica nail polish? It’s a 7-free brand that wears like iron. I work retail and spend a lot of time doing yard work with almost zero chipping. They have a pretty good color selection, too.
Thanks for all the recs! I’m a big believer in Brow Wiz too, there’s just nothing better for the price on the market. Have you tried Sally Hansen’s gel formula? Ever since I switched I wound up tossing all my other regular polished. Two coats plus Essie’s quick-dry topcoat and my mani lasts at least 7 days solid. Hopefully they have a version of the pretty color you love! My fave is Scarlet Starlet, it’s not quite coral, not quite true red.
100% Pure has some amazing nail polishes! You should try them :) Thanks for all the recommendations. I love being introduced to new products and purchased the Khus+Khus DETOX hydrolat!!
Wow, the skincare world intrigues me. Overwhelming doesn’t begin to cover it. How many companies are there? When you start getting into the “natural” products, how do these companies go about finding natural products that have any benefit to skin? I know some have been used for centuries, I get that. But some of these “newer” products can really boggle the mind. I was gifted a hand cream, Forever Young Hand Cream with Sea Buckthorn, that I like, but not necessarily any better than Gold Bond. What, exactly, is sea buckthorn and why do I want it in my hand cream? Someone must know what it is and decided to test it to see if it has any skin benefits, but why that and not any other sea plant? I would really like to know the answers to these questions, I’m not just being obtuse. Then there’s the cost of all this stuff. It’s great if you can afford it, but what about those of us who can’t? I guess we’re left with the drug store chemicals. Not that we don’t care about our skin and the environment. I worry about this stuff all the time, honestly. And then, there’s all our inherent differences that make products work for some and not others. You can see this in the comments already posted. I get so excited about a new line that someone tells me about, splurge on the products and start using them, and 9 times out of 10, can’t really tell any difference in my skin. It’s very frustrating, not to mention disillusioning.. One could make a full time job out of finding and testing all these products. I just don’t have that kind of time. Ah, well, just my opinion and a little different take on the subject.
Michele, I agree, it’s really easy to get caught up in the complexity of skin care products available. I personally need to keep things as simple as possible. I think the essential items are a facial cleanser, exfoliant and sunscreen. There are lots of good quality cleansers and sunscreen available at the drugstore. Effective AHA and BHA exfoliants are more difficult to find and I recommend looking at Paula’s Choice or Alpha Care.
So well said, Michele, and all my sentiments exactly. Cheers, Ardith
Great post

Natural is important to me. But so is using cruelty free products. I used to love Neutrogena and Maybelline, but won’t buy them anymore. Please also consider cruelty and animal testing when choosing skin care and make up.
I love the Think Dirty app (free!) to scan different beauty products and learn about the toxicity of the ingredients…
I truly believe less is more and am learning to love and embrace my natural look!
What I currently use:
Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak shampoo/conditioner but switching to SheaMoisture brand due to “parfum/fragrance” in Not Your Mother’s (companies do not have to disclose fragrance ingredients which makes me uncomfortable).
No deodorant, just coconut oil and baking soda to armpits during the summer months.
I wear L’Oreal mascara only on days I work (3-4 days/week), and remove with coconut oil before bed. I would love to find a less toxic mascara that is not expensive.
Dove sensitive beauty bar for body/face wash. I have sensitive/rosacea/dry face skin so I try to not put too much product on. I Moisturize with Cetaphil, coconut oil or sweet almond oil.
My sister gave me a sample of Colorscience Sunforgettable SPF powder. I like how it looks but the second I walk outside, it smells funny for a minute, but then goes away. I’ve only worn it 3 times because I’m all about embracing the sunshine for many health reasons! It’s funny to me that people put on SPF everyday when the average person spends 90% of their day indoors. If I’m outside longer than 15 minutes at a time, I wear a cute hat ;)
Hydrogen peroxide and baking soda for teeth.
No lip products…just drinking 90-100 ozs of water daily!
Hey caroline! I always enjoy your posts. :)
Just wanted to recommend to anyone interested the crystal rock body deodorant! before starting to use the crystal deodorant, I was a bit skeptical that it would actually work – It does seem foreign to use a rock instead of a powder. However, I have tried other brands like Tom’s as well as drugstore brands like secret, lady speedstick, and dove – and I think that the rock works really well in comparison! Kind of random, but it especially keeps me from smelling when I am wearing sleeveless shirts – something I struggled with in other deodorants!
such a fun discussion! I love learning about natural beauty! :)
Caroline,
I’m wondering if this is your morning or evening skin care routine?
Thanks!
Sarah
I know this post is a few weeks old, but I wanted to say thanks for sharing your summer makeup & skin care favorites. I’m looking into a BB or CC cream that’s more natural, and actually a lady at Ulta today recommended the Juice Beauty CC cream when I asked about organic options (of course I instantly remembered this post!) :) It’s definitely pricey for me (I’m in high school, so probably not part of the majority of your blog audience haha), but I think I’ll invest in it since I know it’s way healthier for my skin that most other products.
I’ve really been enjoying your blog since I discovered it a few weeks ago! Keep up the great work =)
Thanks Emmy! Glad to have you as part of the community. :)
