Worn on: Thursday, February 1 | Weather: Sunny, 65-78°F
I’m back from Savannah! I had a grand ol’ time with my girls — we picnicked at Forsyth park, rummaged through vintage shops, and shrieked with glee when we stuck our feet in the (freezing cold) Atlantic.
I’ll try to put together a packing post soon, but I have to tell you, it’ll probably be more like a “What NOT to pack” or a “Here’s what I’d pack if I could do it over” type of post. I say this with a smile and a laugh — I most definitely did not bring the right clothes for the trip. I checked the weather and thought I packed accordingly, but sometimes 60°F feels warm and sometimes it feels downright frigid. You just never know exactly how it’s going to feel until you get there. Oh well, we had a smashing time regardless.
Onto today — it’s warm! So I went full spring mode and wore flip flops and shorts. AND an anklet! My mom gave me this sterling silver anklet for Christmas — I’ve been so excited to wear it. It’s hard to see in the pictures, but it’s got a teeny tiny puffy heart charm on it. Cuuuute.
And speaking of jewelry, I made it my goal to find some vintage jewelry while in Savannah. And I had good luck! I found two rings (the pair on my middle finger) at The Vintage Vortex — a pave band and a dainty little ring with two stones on it. They aren’t precious (I scored both for under $25!) but they actually feel like great quality nonetheless.
I like that jewelry can be a little wearable keepsake and reminder of the trip. Plus it’s so small, you never have to worry about making room for it in your suitcase on the way back.
