If you were to open up my closet and peer inside, you’d see a whole lot of basic tees.
My style leans heavily to the minimal side, and I like it that way.
However!
I’m discovering something that utterly delights me.
Picture a tweed jacket. A pair of ballet flats. A delicate, detailed top (oh hey, like the one I’m wearing). These are garments that fall into the feminine style category — and, on their own, I wouldn’t consider them to be “my style.”
But when these pieces are placed within the context of an outfit — like say, paired with my basic, sporty, or oversized pieces — I love them. A little bit of contrast makes the whole look come alive.
So that style category you’ve decided isn’t for you? Maybe give it a second glance. A touch of it might be just what you need to give your style some extra zing and pep.
What do you think? What style category have you ruled out? Do you think you’d ever try mixing a small dose of it with your current style? And also — I tried this outfit with two different shoes — flip flops and Sambas. Which is your fav?

I hope you’re having a nice day. Take care!
I enjoy all your posts, including this one. The aesthetic you portray is minimalist and streamlined, which I like and aspire to emulate. This outfit might be my least favorite tho. The boho top (that looks like linen) with running shorts feels (to me) like ‘I’m behind on laundry and these were the only two clean things I could throw on for errands’, but you can pretty much put anything on and it will look ok because you are always keep things clean and lean. I’ll keep reading and considering the new ideas. Thanks!
I enjoy mixing styles, the majority of my wardrobe is built on basics, but it’s fun to throw on that unexpected element at times to round out an outfit.
I like your outfit today paired with the flip flops but that’s probably because it’s so hot here, I can’t imagine having me feet enclosed! XD
Also, your hair has looked a bit different in the last few posts, did you have it cut? It looks so healthy and nice!
Love seeing the two shoe options!
Do you mind sharing what nail polish you’re wearing on your toes? Would love a similar colour for myself.
