You know how denim can fit slightly different from pair to pair, even when it’s the same style and size?
Well, I was in Aritzia the other day and this particular pair of cutoffs happened to fit perfectly — and when you find a pair that fits chef’s kiss, you don’t chance it.
So, yep, I ended up getting AGolde shorts this summer, after deciding not to get AGolde shorts this summer.
And I’m so glad I did! They are a dream.
Here’s my lightning fast review of ’em:
RISE | These shorts have an 11 inch rise, which would usually put them in the high rise category. But they slouch a little and sit lower, hitting just under my belly button. I’d call them more of a mid rise than a high rise — and my mid-rise-loving-heart is THRILLED about this!
LENGTH | The inseam is about 5 inches. I’ve had shorts with a 4 inch inseam before, but let me tell you, that extra inch is perfection. Not too short, but not too long.
WASH | The Skywave wash is slightly darker, and will transition into fall beautifully.
FABRIC | The fabric is 100% cotton, but AGolde denim always makes me swoon because it is so perfectly broken-in and dreamy soft.
SIZE | I got a 26 which surprised me, since I’m currently more of a 27 in AGolde jeans. But the 26 fit relaxed and slouchy just like I like. So I’d say they run a little big. You might want to size down one.
