What does someone with a minimal, understated aesthetic wear to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour?
Glad you asked. I’ve got 10 outfit ideas for you today!
Outfits that are comfortable — no heels in this lineup!
Outfits with an understated aesthetic — hints of sparkle and color, but overall, clean lines and super wearable silhouettes.
Outfits that feel more fashion moment and less costume moment. (But if you’re into costumes, I’m in FULL SUPPORT! Do your thing.)
And most importantly:
Outfits that are meant to last. Not just something you’ll wear once — but rather, quality pieces that can integrate seamlessly into your everyday wardrobe after the show.
Special events like this are an opportunity to create meaningful, wearable keepsakes. I love it when clothes have stories. Just think — every time you wear this dress or that necklace, you’ll always remember you once wore it in the presence of our queen Taylor Swift.

Before we jump into the outfits, let’s rewind for a sec.
Last November, my friends and I tried SO HARD to get tickets to see Taylor Swift, but alas, we were one of the many who waited in that depressing Ticketmaster queue for hours until we learned all the tickets were sold out.
BUT THEN.
A mere ten days before the show in our area, we received a (legit!) text from Ticketmaster giving us a second chance at tickets. There were a few seats available and somehow we GOT TICKETS! It was so unexpected, I STILL CAN’T BELIEVE IT!
Our group text was going wild and, of course, the first thing I say is, “YES BUT WHAT ARE WE WEARING?!”
And honestly, that was such a sweet part of the whole experience — hanging out with my friends beforehand, TSwift records on in the background, coming up with our outfits and savoring the anticipation.
So today, consider me the friend you can plan your outfit with. Turn on your favorite Taylor album and keep scrolling to see 10 minimalist outfit ideas for the Eras Tour + what I wore to the show.
Minimalist Outfit Ideas For The Eras Tour
The quintessential “jeans and a white tee” look, but with sequins! Also how CUTE are those lavender converse and heart necklace? Those are pieces you can wear for years to come, and they’ll always carry the memory of the concert.
Abercrombie 90’s Straight Jeans
Express Sequin Crewneck Boxy Tee
Converse Chuck 70 Lavender Sneaker
Jenny Bird Riley Pendant Necklace
Essie Congrats! Glitter Nail Polish
Comfort alert: this dress has a relaxed fit throughout. And I can personally vouch for these boots — the are comfortable right out of the box. Great for the show, plus they’ll be a wardrobe staple come fall.
Sam Edelman Garret Platform Boots
If you’re like me and you’ve been eyeing those Fleur Du Mal silk bralettes, this is the perfect excuse to get yourself a gorgeous bra. Your undie drawer will thank you after the concert!
Abercrombie 90’s Straight Jeans
Fleur Du Mal Silk Luxe Triangle Bra (Same bra in cotton)
Ronny Kobo Chessy Notched Sequin Blazer
This dress has been on my wishlist for a couple summers now — obsessed! Put white bike shorts under it so you can dance like crazy and not worry about a thing. Wear it to the show, then wear it all summer long.
Aerie White Bike Shorts (to wear underneath)
Converse Chuck 70 Lavender Sneaker
Lele Sadoughi Candy Beaded Large Hoop Earrings
If you’ve been wanting to try parachute pants, now’s your chance! And don’t you love the contouring detail on that sparkly top? Those hoops, parachute pants, and sneakers will give your wardrobe a nice little boost after the show.
American Eagle Parachute Pants
Halfway Bonus! Clear Bag Round Up
We’re halfway through the outfits! Since stadiums require clear bags, how about a quick round up of my favorites?
Now, back to the outfits!
Sheer tops are my favorite way to do a crop top look with a little coverage. LOVE the subtle sparkle and sporty vibes. And the converse, jeans, bra, and hoops will make great additions to your closet.
Free People Filter Finish Tank Top
Abercrombie 90’s Straight Jeans
Converse Chuck 70 Vintage Canvas Sneakers
Can’t get enough of the color palette on this one. And here’s another appearance of the Sam Edelman Garett boots — in ivory this time! Comfy right out of the box — no break in time needed.
Free People Gold Rush Long Sleeve Sequin Top
Anthropologie Iridescent Pearl Drop Earrings
Essie For The Twill Of It Nail Polish
This silk set is absolutely gorgeous. Plus, after the show, that skirt and top would be so useful. Doc Martens do take a long time to break in, however, I’ve heard these particular Docs are softer and easier to break in since they are suede.
Reformation Anaya Silk Two Piece Set
Doc Martens 1460 Metallic Splatter Suede Boots
Essie Glossy Shine Silver Glitter Nail Polish
After the show, this top would be perfect for a date or a night out. Did you notice that squiggle choker? THE CUTEST. After the show, every time you get a compliment on your glitter chucks, you can say, “Thanks, I wore them to hang out with Taylor.”
Reformation Spritz Silk Strapless Top
Abercrombie 90’s Straight Jeans
Glitter Chuck Taylor All Stars
Aritzia Daydreamer Dress in Cloudy Lilac
This is the outfit I wore! I just wanna stay in that lavender haze. :)
This dress looks super boring online, but in person the chiffon is floaty and dreamy and it moves BEAUTIFULLY. It’s loose and unrestrictive all the way through, but still feels flirty since it’s so short. Bonus, it doesn’t show sweat!
I wore lavender bike shorts underneath so I could dance without a care — plus they had pockets, so I could stash my phone and lip balm and not have to carry a bag at all.
For shoes, I wore ivory combat boots from Sam Edelman. Yes, the ones I’ve already gushed about in several outfits above. They are just that good. They kept my feet happy all night.
I kept my accessories minimal and just went with heart earrings. I mentioned how much I love clothes with a story — so these will forever be my Taylor Swift keepsake earrings. They are simple enough to wear everyday, and I know I’ll wear them for years to come — and smile at the memories.
Overall, it was a simple look (no surprise there), but I had the best time dancing all night, my dress floating and swaying around me.

Your turn! Leave a comment and tell me what you’re wearing / what you wore to the Eras Tour. Or tell me your top 3 favorite TSwift albums (because it’s impossible to choose just one). And bonus points if you can tell what song we’re singing in that GIF above. :)
Oh my gosh, Caroline, thank you so much for this post! SO exciting you got to go see Taylor Swift after all!!! You all look so free and happy. Thank you for bringing that energy into this space!
All these outfits are so much fun. I just sat down and listed out what I have that would make for some good happy concert outfits, and I was ASTONISHED at all the options! I have been slowly trying to develop a warm-weather wardrobe I can feel great in even though I would wear boots, sweaters, and jeans year ’round if I could–and making this list showed me how well I have done with this endeavor! I am actually excited to start dressing to enjoy spring and summer!
So thank you! Here’s to bringing that rad concert energy into our everyday lives! Play on!
Thank you so much Jen!! It was so fun bringing different energy to the blog. :) And way to go on your warm-weather wardrobe! It can be challenging to dress for your least favorite season — I love how you’ve just leaned in! Play on!
I can honestly say I am obsessed with every outfit you’ve highlighted. Although it feels impossible to choose just three:
1. That Reformation Gracelynn look is *chef’s kiss*. I love how effortlessly edgy it is.
2. The Luxe Triangle Bra look is sexy, chic. I’m dying!
3. Then there’s that Reformation Anaya set with those boots!!
These all feel Taylor approved! 😉
Thanks Jasmine! :) :)
Love these outfits!! I wore a white romper and silver boots and regretted the fussiness of a romper…but still had so much fun!! What surprise songs did you get?? :)
So glad you got to go Rebecca! Those silver boots sound fun! We got “Ours” from Speak Now and “Sad Beautiful Tragic” from Red. :) Which ones did you get??
Cowboy like me and white horse! It’s so fun to see what she plays every weekend!!
I appreciate the acknowledgment that it’s impossible to pick just one favorite T Swift album! My top 3 are Red, Folklore and Midnights (with 1989 a close 4th)!
Yes, it’s totally impossible. :) Love to hear your top 3 — ours are very similar! Mine are Midnights, Folklore, and 1989.
So fun! Love all the outfits! I saw Taylor in Seattle before Covid. It was the funnest concert ever! Thank you for this!
So glad you got to see Taylor! Was it the Reputation tour? I almost went to that very show in Seattle! Kicked myself for not going! :P
Yes! It was amazing-the best concert I have ever been to.
You’re definitely singing Lover!!! Ah, I’m so excited and can’t wait to see her in July! It feels so far away, which I suppose is good because I still need to figure out what I’m going to wear… 😅 Love these ideas!
Yep, you got it! :) :) I’m so excited you get to see her too! It’s such an amazing show!
Aaahh, I’m so glad you got to go, Caroline!! And I LOVE this post! If I had seen that very top outfit before I went, then that sequin tee would have been my pick! Love it with the jeans but I saw Taylor in Tampa (outside!!!) so tried to keep it cool with a black satin drawstring mini skirt from Madewell and a simple silver sequin sleeveless top with white sneakers. It felt like a party but still comfy and minimal and classic.
I’m so glad YOU got to go!! Yes, gotta keep cool in that Tampa humidity. Your outfit sounds perfect!
I love this so much!! Thank you! I’m also seeing Beyonce this summer. Any chance you can do another post with outfit ideas for a Beyonce concert? A bit of a different vibe than Taylor but still such fun clothes.
That’s a great idea Mackenzie! I had so much fun putting together this post, I’ll try to do a Bey post too! Maybe concert outfit guides should become a regular thing around here. :)
I confess to not being a Swiftie, but I loved this round up of outfits! I feel like they’d all be so wonderful for any festivals or shows this season (and I love the idea of having a concert keepsake – how cool would a pair of Chucks be with an autograph from your favorite artist?)!
Thanks Alyssa! I hoped the post would be fun for swifties and non-swifties alike, so I’m so glad you said that! And YES to the autographed Chucks! That would be the ultimate wearable keepsake.
Your idea to wear bike shorts with pockets under a dress= game changer. I hate taking a bag to concerts but I’m always paranoid my phone etc will fall out of my pocket. PROBLEM SOLVED. Thank you!
Oooh I love all of these!! I also wore a “lavender haze”-inspired outfit similar to yours- ivory combat boots (the best! so comfy!), wide-legged lavender trousers, and a sheer daisy-embroidered crop top (the latter two both thrifted). I loved my look and of course the concert was incredible!!
Best post ever!!
I just found this post as my daughters and I finally got tickets to see Taylor in Cincinnati (we’ve been trying since November too) and we are trying to decide what to wear! I love all of your outfit choices. Since it will be hot, I think I am between a black or denim mini skirt with a sparkly sleeveless top, or a sundress. Sneakers either way for sure! I think I am a Red, 1989, Lover girl, although it is so hard to choose even 3 favorites! Folklore and Fearless are up there, too. I am so glad you and your friends got to go!
