You might remember this skirt from this post a couple weeks back. Doesn’t it make you smile? It definitely makes me smile!
A few colors have caught my attention lately — lime green being at the top. Lime green was my color in middle school, so I love wearing it again. In my quest for something lime green, I tried on a few tops but they just didn’t look great with my skin tone. But I’ve found that, sometimes, if tops in a particular shade aren’t working with your skin, maybe that same color will work great as a pant or skirt. And as soon as I found this skirt, with its minimalist cut and funky pattern, I knew it was the lime green piece I’d been looking for. It adds just the right amount of playfulness to my wardrobe.
So onto this outfit: I love a good high waist with a tucked in top, like the last time I styled this skirt. It’s classic, it’s standard. But there are times when I just want things to be looser and more relaxed…and a little more unexpected. So for this look, I paired the skirt with an untucked white button down. And here’s my favorite styling bit: I left most of the buttons undone adding drama and creating a dynamic outfit that looks better in motion.
