Do you ever catch yourself overthinking things?
I’ve been in that headspace this week.
If you’re there with me, hi. :-) Let’s breath deep for a moment and remember that this just happens sometimes. We don’t have to label it as “good” or “bad” — it can just be something we’re experiencing at the moment.
When my mind is full of zooming thoughts, it’s helpful to get back to the basics: drinking water, spending time with family and friends, moving my body, or getting outside. To me, there’s nothing more soothing than wiggling my toes in a thick carpet of cool grass.
It’s also helpful to simplify daily decisions. One easy way to do this? Return to an outfit formula that’s straightforward — something that always works. For me, that’s a button down shirt with denim cutoffs and comfy sandals. Simple, chic, and done.
Do you have a go-to outfit formula you can fall back on when you need to simplify your daily decisions? I’d love to hear yours! What are some other ways you ground yourself when you’re in that overthinking headspace?

I’m not even kidding – earlier this year I decided I was basically going to live in exactly this formula all summer 🤣
