For once, I’m not wearing my AGolde Lana jeans!
While my Lanas have my heart, these Abercrombie mid-rise 90’s jeans are *chef’s kiss*.
These are more of a classic, full-length straight leg jean, as opposed to the Lanas, which are a little baggier and pool on the ground a bit. I love both styles for different reasons — it’s nice to have options.
That mid-blue wash is spot on. Not too dark, but just different enough from a sun-bleached wash to strike a different mood — a more classic mood.
The mid-rise is soOOOooooOOoo comfortable. Abercrombie’s high rise 90’s jeans are super popular, but after wearing them myself for a while, I found the rise to be too high for me. If you’re like me and you don’t particularly love super high rise jeans, these are a great alternative.
I usually wear a 26 or 27 Curve Love in Abercrombie jeans. However, the Regular actually fit better than Curve Love for this particular jean since they sit a little lower. So I got a 26 Regular and they are perfect!

Hi! Such a great little corner of the internet! Would appreciate a handbag roundup, I’m trying to choose a Polene, and would love your take.
Much appreciated!
Thank you Kim! I’ll plan to do a handbag round up / Polene review post soon! :)
I was literally at A+F trying on jeans this past weekend and could not get their high rise to work on me. In addition to being uncomfortable, the really long crotch just does not flatter my body type. I had no idea they offered midrise though, so now I gotta go back. Thanks for the heads up!!
Yes! That mid-rise is a game changer! So comfortable.
I’m curious how the Lana and Abercrombie 90s hold up to multiple wears between washes as far as stretch and fit?
Hi Lacy!
After wearing + washing them for about two years, I’ve been pleased with the way Abercrombie jeans wear between washes. They don’t bag at the knees and they don’t really stretch out either. They keep their shape nicely. I wash mine rarely, maybe just once every other month or whenever needed.
I’ve been super pleased with the Lanas as well. They don’t bag at the knees. The waist stretches a little bit, but it’s less like it’s losing its shape and more like it’s molding to your body. It’s super lovely actually. With 100% cotton jeans, I almost never wash them because I don’t want to lose that molded-to-my-body shape. Sooo I actually haven’t washed mine once since I got them last fall! Kinda wild, but again, I wear them constantly and there’s no bagging out at the knees. When I decide to wash them one day, I plan to wash on cold and line dry — never putting them in the dryer.
Hope that helps a bit! :)
where in Los Angeles can you get the AGolde jeans? They have different models and I’ve love to try them on. Once I know what I like, I can have them shipped :-0
I live out of the country and will be in LA in April I’d love to find them!
Hi Kathie! There are so many places in LA that carry AGolde! Have a look at their store locater to find the one closest to you:

I hope you have a great trip and enjoy your time in LA! :)
I also stuggle with really high rises. Unfortunately, I don’t live anywhere near an A&F to try on. What is the actual rise on the mid-rise vs. the high rise?
Hi Sarah! I just measured the mid-rise and they have a 9.5in rise. I believe the high-rise have a 11.5in rise.
I’m 34 – am I too old to wear Abercrombie & Fitch? This brand reminds me so much of my teenage years!! :D
Definitely not! I’m 36. :) But I hear you and I felt the same way — it took me a while to get the old association of A&F out of my head.
