It’s shorts weather in Texas! And I’ve decided long shorts are my official Shorts of Summer ’22. Yep, I want my shorts loose and long this summer.
To be more specific, I’m all about those 6 or 7 inch inseams right now. To me the longer inseam makes such a statement.
Take this outfit for example — it’s a basic black tank and denim shorts — but it’s the looseness and longness of the shorts that makes it an Outfit with interest and dimension.
Also, wow, they are comfortable and easy to wear. No more of those short short experiences like sitting down and getting lines etched into the back of your legs from your chair (cane chairs are the worst offenders). No more sticking to plastic seats. Turns out, it’s nice to have a layer between you and all those plastic chairs out there in the world.
Here are a few other options for 6-7 inch inseam shorts:

Yes! 100% I just bought my version of these (citizens for humanity) last week coincidentally and I love them!
Hi Ines! Oh I love that! Those Citizens shorts are SO good.
I’d love to hear how your Aritzia top is holding up after washing – I keep getting scared away after reading reviews of pilling!
Hi Alyssa! I love this Aritzia top so much that I want it to last a long time so I’m washing sparingly — I think I’ve only washed it 2 times, maybe 3. But there’s not a pill in sight and it’s holding it’s shape really well so far.
Hi Caroline!
How did you decide between curvy or regular fit for the Jean shirts?
Hi Katherine! I tried on a bunch of Abercrombie’s jeans and shorts in store and found that the curvy size fit me better. No waist gap, woohoo!
