Anything goes when it comes to denim now — low rise, high rise, cargo, colorful, patterned, skinny, straight, baggy — and in the Wild West that is currently Jeans, I’ve felt both unsure and exhilarated.
Since there’s no coherent, singular prescription for denim, the task is on each of us individually. It makes us reflect and ask ourselves, “What am I actually drawn to? What feels good to me?”
One cut I’m particularly drawn to right now is these tapered mom jeans. They are nothing new, but they are slouchy and comfortable and just the right amount of oversized for me. As we move into warmer weather, the tapered leg is really speaking to me, more so than a straight leg.
(Besides these tapered mom jeans, I also find myself curious about super wide leg baggy jeans, although I haven’t tried any yet.)
I actually love what’s happening in denim right now — the way anything goes — and I like to think that it’s the end of dressing to “keep up”. It’s an exciting time! Branch out and try something a little different…or…don’t. :) Wear what you love, wear what feels good to you.

Exactly, Wear what you love, wear what feels good to you.
Denim is so simple but yet so practical and fashionable. The options for denim suits everyone no matter what size or body shape you are. Denim is a great essential item to use in a capsule wardrobe!
All i own is denim shorts and jeans because of this reason. The different cuts and fits are great and comfortable. I really like the baggy look of the wide leg jeans. I’ve been wanting to try them because they look so comfortable. I also want to find some comfortable black denim shorts for my wardrobe. You can’t go wrong with them. They are great for all occasions and would be really practical.
Well, you don’t look unsure to me!! I also like this “anyting goes” although for myself I am slow in trying new things. I only tried high rise denim because my sister insisted so much… and she was right that I would enjoy it ♥
It’s so good to see you back in this space! xo
