This shirt and these linen shorts were a big part of my spring/summer wardrobe last year, and I’m so happy to see them again! Changing my wardrobe over from winter to spring is one of my favorite things — I love pulling my spring clothes out of storage and seeing my old favorites again.
Lightweight, button up shirts have become such a staple in my spring and summer style. They add the interest of a layer, while still keeping me cool when it’s warm outside.
This outfit is missing one thing in my opinion — an anklet! I’ve been on the hunt for one for a while now. Finding the right size is proving to be a bit of a challenge, but I know I’ll find the right one soon! I think I’m going to be wearing an anklet almost every day this summer. I particularly love the way they look with Birkenstock Arizonas — the contrast of those down-to-earth sandals with a shimmery, shiny anklet just speaks to me.

This post made me laugh. I looked at the title and picture and thought “what can be missing? Well an ankle of course!”. Seems I’m reading your mind :))
LOL totally on the same page, Cristina! :)
Love that you are back posting Caroline, I absolutely love your style – Lorna X
Thank you so much Lorna! <3
Have you heard of permanent jewelry? There was a pop up jeweler at my Orange County, CA Madewell called “Balboa Gold” and she has these sterling silver or gold fill fine chains that she can weld 2 connecting rings together after fitting it to your preference around your ankle. Look her up on her website or IG, she’s located in Balboa, near Newport Beach. See the results and the process and maybe someone can do that for you in your area!
Okay, that sounds AMAZING! I hadn’t heard of permanent jewelry before, so thanks for sharing, Cam! Going to look into this gal’s jewelry.
