Hello, what do we have here? Wide leg jeans, it seems!
I’ve been looking for a pair of wide leg jeans to add to my rotation — the Citizens of Humanity Paloma jean is at the top of my list, but I wanted to see if I could find a slightly less expensive version. I couldn’t believe my luck when I found this pair at H&M for under $40. I don’t think I’ve ever bought denim there before, but these were right on, so I went for it. The pockets are placed well, the wash is just like the CoH jeans, and the waistband has a very subtle V shape in front. Plus, I’m usually a curvy fit in jeans, and somehow, even though these aren’t a curvy cut, there’s no waist gap. Even the inseam was perfect — I’m 5’5″ and didn’t need to shorten them.
It’s so nice to find myself in wide leg jeans again. I used to wear them all the time in high school, and forgot how much I loved the look of them. Not to mention the feeling of them — so loose and lovely. In some of the photos they look more like flares, but they are a classic wide leg.
It’s amazing how one simple swap in an outfit can change the vibe entirely. Case in point: I’ve been wearing this combo of white button down + camisole all spring, yet somehow, with these wide leg jeans, the combo feels fresh.

Thanks Christa, I really appreciate that! It’s definitely a different look for the blog, but I wanted to try something new. It feels good to take the leap!
