Stripes + cheetah print. Have you ever tried it? It’s kind of addicting and it’s almost impossible to mess it up.

So, a couple of cool things to share with you:

1. I had the terrifying amazing opportunity of being interviewed by Jess of The Lively Show this week. Jess is one wildly inspiring lady. Her driving force is intentionality, and she’s created a podcast to help all of us add a little extra intention into our day. Cool, right? She’s interviewed a whole bunch of epic ladies, so I’m thinking you should probably subscribe to her podcast. And if you want to listen to my interview, it’s right here.

2. I love my hometown, Abilene TX. Over the past few years though, Abilene has hit some hard times. But you know what’s cool? People like my friend Jess who decided to take a chance on Abilene and open up a super cool women’s boutique there anyway. I’m SO excited to see growth like this in my hometown and I want to support it all I can. So I partnered up with Jess this past week on Instagram. She loaned me a few favorite pieces from her shop + I got to style them with pieces from my capsule wardrobe. If you want to see the outfits, I’d love it if you’d go follow @bettyandjune on Instagram + also take a look at their super cool website. I think you’ll love it!

I hope you’re having a fine Saturday! :)

Oh my gosh, I’m practically right down the road in San Angelo! Always looking for cute unique places to shop in west Texas, which sometimes can be a challenge.

I absolutely love that sweater! Super cute and it looks super cozy!!

Also, I have been keeping up with your blog for a few months now and am very inspired by your capsule wardrobes and also, from what I have read, your overall goal to be content- something I am always striving for with my clothes (…and my life). Keep up the cute outfits and encouraging words!! Thanks for sharing!!

Loved the radio interview!! It was really interesting to hear how your capsule wardrobe have been a way to “empower” yourself against mainstream ideas about beauty and feminity (I am rephrasing with my own words, of course). Never really thought about capsule wardrobe like this, but it is definitely a way to take control over you own style, body and image – rather than being constantly influenced by others (people or more importantly, media). Also, I thought it was brave how you talked with honesty about the insecurities that you had before (with you body type, habit of shopping etc.). And, in the rest of the interview you gave very practical and handy informations for someone trying to start a capsule wardrobe. In brief, it showed that you master you subject! I’ll say it in french: bravo!!!

Just finished listening to the podcast, and I am so excited for the expansion into other lifestyles! I don’t know if you have people in mind already, and I certainly am not a professional photographer, but I have definitely committed myself to the Capsule Wardrobe lifestyle and have been tracking my very first fall wardrobe over the past couple of months (I started the first week of September). As for my “lifestyle,” I am a young professional that mixed casual social clothes with my more corporate/business casual clothes to create my perfect capsule! Cannot wait to see more.

I loved how you mentioned Courtney’s blog, Be More With Less. I found her a year ago and she is something else. Now I found you “by accident” a couple of days ago…what a gift! Your podcast was great, and I, someone who is pretty bad at fashion/styling, am very excited to get my wardrobe not just under control, but appealing. Thank you, Caroline! Oh, and you are adorable in every way and quite the inspiration!

I recently found your blog and I completely love your style and the sense of purpose that you have both in your wardrobe and life! I’m in the process of overhauling my wardrobe and your advice is always spot on! Although you’ve got me dreaming of Autumn and Winter clothes while I’m in the Southern hemisphere where we’re finally starting to get warm!

New to your blog- loving it! I just purged about 40 pieces from my closet yesterday and need to really consider doing this for real (which means more cutbacks). What size is the sweater you’re wearing? Love it!

Finally had a chance to listen to your Lively Show interview and I like you even more :)
I completely relate to and still struggle with the “time wasted shopping” issue. After I had my little one, I turned to online shopping and found it to be so convenient, but also a dark hole at times. I would go online with good intentions to merely check email before starting my day, and an hour later, I would find myself obsessing over whether to buy that scarf at 30% off. It was ridiculous, or rather, it _is_ ridiculous because I am still working to fight this temptation.
I’ve taken some of your experience and unsubscribed from a ton of emails, but I still have a ways to go (e.g. Still can’t unsub from Madewell ;-O) . Anyways, great interview! Cheers!
