Capsule #2 // Outfit 25
It’s amazing how many unique combinations of cream + blue jean blue + cognac you can make, no? As we’ve discussed before, I’m super into this color combo, and the love just won’t fade. This won’t be the last time you’ll see it.
I’m also super into the idea of flowers in a bag. This whole idea has been blowing up on my Pinterest feed lately, and today, I decided, why not live that fantasy? Be that girl carrying flowers in her bag!
And it turns out flowers in a bag = cute in pictures, a little awkward in real life. But don’t let me crush your dream of strolling the streets with flowers in your bag. Try it for yourself and then we can bond over the awkwardness. :)
Happy Weekending!

I am loving these colors, too! So classy :)
Hi,
Just found your blog and I got to say it is very inspirational and stylish, love it!
Just started reading the posts from the beginning. One thing I was wondering though is how many new pieces did you buy for this season/capsule? From your links it looks like that only some clothes are marked as “old”, so I would be interested in what is the percentage of new clothes and why did you decide to buy new ones and not use the ones that you already had in your closet? Also when you organised your closet do you have an estimate how many pieces you gave away/sold? Did you save a lot of things in the maybe pile for the coming capsules and where and how do you store the clothes that are not in the capsule?
Sorry about all these questions! I will now continue reading the archives :)
Hi there! Thanks for reading and thanks for your comment! :) My Spring capsule wardrobe consists of about 20% new clothes and 80% clothes I already owned (but some of them are still available in stores). When I whittled my wardrobe down to 37 items, I purged clothes that either didn’t fit properly, didn’t match my lifestyle (hello black sequin mini dress from Forever 21), or were simply too worn out and in need of replacement (hello white v-neck tee). I probably ended up donating about half of what was in my closet to start with–I had an excess of unnecessary clothes. :) Finally, I definitely saved pieces for future seasons. They are stored in a plastic under-the-bed box. xoxo Caroline
